the biggest problem with nigerians is dat they try to castigate good minded individuals fighting for d rights of others why they sing to songs of politicians and oppressors.
Is it wrong to fight for or educate the gullible minds in d society?
the truth is dat d producer is trying to take advantage of the economic situation of the country to destroy people's destiny in disguise.

Nigerians wicked o...CHAIIII.
It seems the only way to get rich in Nigeria is to use people's destiny. look at politicians, businessmen, drivers, market people, etc.
At d end they will still go to church and pray that God should kill their enemies.
If i may ask, Who is entitled to die after this form of wickedness we possess? :-XNigerians wicked o...CHAIIII.

GurlFriend:
Journalist and online commentator Kayode Ogundamisi has slammed media personality and founder of Ebony Life Tv, Mo Abudu for what he calls 'Slave Contract' which Nigerian artists have to sign before they audition for Ebony Life TV programmes.

n a series of revealing tweets, he called out the 'Moments with Mo' producer, asking her if, she as a British citizen would be willing to sign such a contract.

Basically the contract asks the person auditioning to waive every moral right they have over their creative talents, as long as it is affiliated with Ebony Life TV. They are asked to forfeit their rights as protected by the Performance Protection Rights of 1967.

In other words, once you sign the contract, Ebony Life owns your talent and can use it any how they deem it fit. You will not be able to complain or negotiate because you have relinquished every right (protected by the national and international copyright and royalty laws) you have over your talent.

Read the tweets and controversial contract below

http://www.lailasblog.com/2016/04/journalist-slams-mo-abudus-ebony-life.html

Ignorance is a disease. The title of the Talent Release Form says Production is Presentation Auditions, meaning it's just for AUDITIONS. A proper Contract/ Talent Release form would be signed if the person scales through and is selected for the Production with compensation terms clearly stated. Meanwhile the Producer has the right to use the taped auditions for anything they want in future should the case arise, but there's nothing there really.

Mo abudu is a fake, desperate, attention seeking woman with an oversize impression of her synthetic self. I am not surprised at all. Madam "wannabe"

We r always taking advantage of each other. No wonder the country is like this.

God bless you. Black man? African? Nigerian? We just dey deceive ourselves crying government as if government were some alien beings. The problem of Nigeria (add "African/Black man) is the Nigerian people themselves, a few of whom are in government. That's my national anthem and that's why they've all run from me, preventing me from changing the narrative in this country. Na lie dem dey talk. Black man has black blood - everywhere, no matter the forming of "civilised" that they form!

I personally think it's a thing of choice, if you feel it's not good for you, why sign or join the production in the first place.

I understand it's bad to exploit people but as humans one of the biggest thing we have is the ability to "choose".

The lesson here is never rush to sign contract. Take the and read the contract and consult your legal adviser on terms you don't understand.. Just like some have said, The artists have the right to choose whether to sign or not....
