The accused was not dragged to court because he refused to pay the agreed price. He was taken to court because he caused grievous bodily harm. The case is now a criminal matter and that's why d police are involved. Even if she were to sue him for refusal to pay d price she would not succeed as d contract is illegal. No cause of action can arise from an illegal contract.
