Trust me, it is NOT!!! True love, whether for a friend, a lover/partner, a child, or someone else does exist. And when one meets a special person there can be that feeling of falling in love which is great. But getting caught up in the romance can lead one to make really stupid mistakes, so it's wise to keep one eye open till trust is earned with someone who is not one's child and sometimes even then.

1. Naija guys appreciate a woman who loves them TRULY, love them for them. Not one whose love is informed by his looks or wealth, Naija guys are quick to catch on if you are with them for this reason.

2. Similar to one above, Naija guys respect women that work for their own money, not depending on them for financial assistance per se. In fact, this is why a lot of Naija gals hate naija guys, calling them stingy, brokeass, etc as evidenced in the wars in NL between the sexes when it comes to topics about financial relations between the sexes.

3. The average naija guy loves to be respected by his woman to a faul[/b]t. He want's his girl to worship the ground he thread on. He often invokes the relationship his parents share at home telling you of how his mother respects his father and whatnot.

[b]4. He also loves good sex, oh yes he sure does. This needs no explanation.

6. He loves girls that are humble in public and don't talk too much too. When they do talk, they speak intelligently, courteously and friendly too as they are sure of themselves while he basks in the compliment of his colleagues that he has such a 'smart' girlfriend.

7, He needs a girl that can keep his home. Whip up a tasty meal, host his friends (and respect them, Naija guys don't play with this one) and as corny as this may sound even do his laundry (they sure love this one, you need to see them brag about home homely their girl is while referencing this act).

8. They want you to respect their family. Siblings and parents (they don't give a hoot how beautiful or well-heeled you are, you talk down on their family, they show you the door!)

9. They also love a spiritual girl. (not spiro spiro, I mean girls who recognise God in their lives and do their best to love Him evidenced by going to church/mosque and even forcing him to go, you know, a Christian/Muslim chick with swag).

10. And finally, they love a girl who is GENUINELY concerned about them and their affairs. Be it studies, work, health and dreams generally. They love girls that can stand up to them to respectfully tell them where they err and work with them to make something of themselves.

Contrary to popular believes when it comes to keeping a girl for the long run, the average Naija guy doesn't consider beauty. The above is what most consider. The beautiful ones are for just sex and ego trip purposes. It really sucks to be a beautiful girl in Naija right now. These chaps are so wiser now. Pretty faces don't fool them anymore. Sure they'll spend the money on you but it's just to achieve one thing and you know what.

Again, being all the above doesn't guarantee a Naija guy will stay or treat you with respect as some of them are knuckleheads (just telling it like it is). Some chaps are damaged goods, there is no getting through to them never minding how hard you try. To those caught up in such a relationship I say, get the hell out while there's still time!

If you like give dem heaven and earth and all other planet join. A cheat will always be a cheat. That is the truth, human being are insatiable in Nature
