My 2003 Toyota Camry does not smoke from the exhaust and neither does it drops oil on the floor when parked, but the oil shortage I get is massive especially when I travel with it and it's becoming worrisome. I am sceptical about my mechanic busting open my engine to check because he cannot pinpoint what's exactly wrong. I use Toyota oil (20w 50). Could it be the oil? I also tried Mobil 1 and it happens too. Please guys, I need advice because I love this car. Runs like a dream. Please help!!! |

m not really a guru, but from small experience your engine ring is getting bad. You might experience extra fuel intake. Its possible that the oil escape is still invisible to the eyes, when u ride it for long distance the shortage increases than usual...one of the reason some people get engine knock without seeing it coming. |

banky3w:New engine loading. Don't bother overhauling, get a sharp toks, and this time do not kill it with 20w50. |

banky3w:If you are in Lagos ,u can call my number for diagnosis that will determine the reason for the oil shortage. |

banky3w:2AZ-FE has a well documented write ups on the internet on the issue of slight oil burning. But sorry bro, you helped it attained a more alarming state by the use of 20W50. New confirmato engine loading. 1 Like |

kingreign:Can I go back to 5w30? I did not use it because of its unavailability in kaduna here but I recently spotted some in a shop. I used it once when I went to ibadan and bought while coming back but only lasted a month because of shortage. |

GAZZUZZ:Na wah oh...... We all know our daura president is not making anything easy in this we country. My next target was 2010 Camry but when I hear the price recently, I go solo........ I no fit kill myself. I can't change my car for now..... Nope, not an option except a miracle happens. |
