I think they seems to be right in some point but why did they took dis long to reveal? I guess they are envious of Nigeria&china bilateral.

But seriously speaking the U.S didnt knw they ve the worst issue to look into ''act of racism'' that alone is inhumane and unacceptable in a social environment. They shud tackle dt first
Tackle what racism again?
Blacks are not discriminated against in d US any longer. Even though racism is practiced by some, its secretly done.
US decided to protect all its citizens irrespective of skin colour, gender, sexual orientation.

Nigeria have refused to do d same.

Please tell USA to keep shut cos we can handle our problem with or without their help.

Useless comment from them is not what nigeria needs now. Beside is PMB that is hoping much on USA but our solution is within not in USA or other countries.

USA will try to redused nigeria in all angle. PMB please be watchful.

It's their current general secretary that is leading PMB wrongly.

US is quick to come up with this kind of news about other nations when there is so much injustice within their own system. When are they going to come up with figures of falsely incarcerated colored people within the US? They haven't solved their own problems, yet they're talking about other nations. Yeye dey smell.

Those are highly controversial incidents and the truth around them is still obscured. What you cannot deny is that this government is much much more responsive to the cry for justice from the man of the streets. Now every little incident that is reported on social media gets taken seriously but this was not the case before.

You also cannot deny that it took Jonathan over 5 years to fail to deal with boko harma, yet in just over a year, this government has greatly peeled back the layers of boko haram's success.

Be fair.

Why do APC loyalists revert to comparison with someone they have acknowledged as a known failure? Baffles me.

Government has responded to the slightest complaints? Really? Agatu? Miss Ese? Do we have to wait until social media picks up a news before the government responds? Do you know how many people the Fulani herdsmen have slaughtered? Effectively replacing BH?

I'm not pro-Buhari and never will be. I will commend him when he does something good like locking up all the goats that ate our yam. But I will also scream when his loyalists try to paint him as the redeemer of Nigeria when clearly he isnt

I find the timing of the report also curious. Could the US government be truly angry with PMB's China trip?

There are important questions we should asked ourselves.
1. Why now? why is this report coming out now that the president and Nigerian government have decided to romance China?
Answer: Because US know the implication and the import of what Nigeria is trying to do. The impact on our Economy as the most populated black race in the world, the largest market economy subsahara is better imagine than describe. US is just trying albeit very hard to scare investors away and paint Nigeria bad in the eyes of the world. When BH were busy committing unbelievable crimes against the Nigerian people and state where were these reporters?
2. Why is US not talking about our economy and policies?
Answer: We went to them, they could only unleashed IMF conditionalities and Gay laws on us in exchange for any help. The devil gift you will say.
3. Why the scanty remark to the anti corruption war going on?
Answer: Any positive comment about this government with our present ally with china considering the ongoing cold war between US and China is not good for the image of US. As much as US tried not to, they have to acknowledge that we are fighting and winning the war on terrorism. GEJ government asked US for help, they declined. The excuse is that the government was corrupt and not serious about fighting Terrorism. PMB asked them for help, they only promised and never delivered. I remember this two faced country call US and the story about Genocide in Rwanda.
US will do everything in its power to ensure we do not attain self sufficiency. Our economy remain vulnerable, our currency remain weak, and the brain drain continues as people run away from the hopelessness the country represent.
Fellow Nigerians, no matter our political affiliation and inclinations, let us be conscious of the fact that our continued existence as a country is not in the interest of the modern colonists. They want a fragmented and weakened nation both economically and politically, even morally so that they can continue to dominate and plunder us.
Are there no extra Judicial killings in US? what of war crimes?
US should leave us alone and let us fight for our destiny, our land and our future.
#GodblessNigeria#

In as much as you made valid points, it will be hypocritical for you guys to celebrate Buhari when
the US praised him only to criticise US for making a U-turn.
I remember few days ago when someone created a topic about Buhari always sitting next to Obama,
many touted it as a great achievement for Nigeria.

Only an ignorant person doesn't know the chamelionic nature of US.

So boko haram was not there before Buhari? corruption and heavy handness was not there before Buhari? if anything have these things not abated under him?

Boko haram, debatable but corruption and heavy handedness? Hell no, they're worse now! In fact the corruption is taking on a latent form where it doesn't quite appear in your face as before but it is happening at such a grand scale with just a few benefiting.

Nothing works and yet hunger becomes more acute with far reduced spending power....

For heavy handedness, contact the military and security agencies for more lessons. The media aides are not left out that baldly tell citizens to go and fight vandals since they're complaining of low power supply.

check how many BLACKS were killed by Police in U.S last yr and every yr....how many ppl been imprisoned in Gitmo these past 12yrs without trial... how many Iraqis were tortured by U.S military...so pls dont preach to us. Check how many people are wrongly convicted.....so U S go sort ur own S***

This is irrelevant to the issue at hand, the report is about Nigerian government and its citizens
not foreigners, US constitution is for US Citizens not foreogners
and I haven't read a news where a US killer cop get praised by a top government
official unlike what we have here where extra-judicial killings and indefinite
detention are celebrated even by supposedly enlightened leaders.

I am way too pragmatic to be a loyalist to anyone. The truth of the matter is that the problems specifically quote in the referenced article/statement were not born in the Buhari regime and the poster that i originally quoted was being unreasonable by insinuating such. That was my point.

Things are not the way they should be but truth be told, it is clear security is one area that is surely improving. Buhari has obviously failed on some things but that he has failed on all things is not the truth.

I have always told people that Goodluck Jonathan came to lay a particular building block, Buhari has also come to lay another. Neither man is or was the complete solution so as far as i'm concerned most Nigerians have failed to see the big picture. Over 50 years of rot will take time to get fixed and that's what has been happening now and even since Goodluck Jonathan's time but the real results we want cannot come sooner than 2019.

You people want to do house warming for a structure that needs to be torn down, have its foundation re-laid, and rebuilt all over again.

Nigerians think the world revolves around them or their silly internal political beefs. US Dept of State releases report on each country every year, most of it unfavourable.

The annual Country Reports on Human Rights Practices – the Human Rights Reports – cover internationally recognized individual, civil, political, and worker rights, as set forth in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international agreements. The U.S. Department of State submits reports on all countries receiving assistance and all United Nations member states to the U.S. Congress in accordance with the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 and the Trade Act of 1974.
