I am thinking of enrolling into the cic express entry, and I would like to knw if its is a process that requires paying a consultant or is it a process an inidividual can do successfully without paying consultants, cos I am thinking of being economical in this times.

This is my candid opinion.

The information and guidance you can glean from here would be much better than what a consultant could give you.

In fact, many here are unofficial consultants, and they have gone through the program successfully themselves.

Cheers!

Yes if you want a higher chance of being selected because if you both write you'll obtain a higher score than if only the principal applicant writes.

Hello House,
I need help please. I asked earlier if my wife with ECA done in Geology can apply into the express entry with expeerience as an Administrative Officer with NOC 1221. I have filled out the EE profile but am yet to submit it. With her a the PA, we have a much higher score of 425 than with me a mechanical engineer a scoreof 395. I also want to try creating a second profile with me as PA and look out for PNPs. I checked out BC province and they talked about getting a job offer, how possible is this without one been in canada at least? Please i need your help as soon as possible as all this is really head cracking. Someone said to me that my wifes profile could fly for ITA,but might not fly for PR because the experience is different from the educational training. Thanks

Hello Doggys, with your wife's scores you stand a better chance of getting a PNP.And since her Job experience is needed in Canada ,there really is no need to worry yourself about opening a separate entry with you as PA.
There is no relationship between your Qualifications and Work Experience as far as Canada's EE is considered.Don't fret.
So ,please concentrate on your wife's profile and scout for Provinces that do NOT need job offers .It is almost impossible to get a Job offer from Nigeria ,so you may have to strike out British Columbia out of your PNP list.
Hope this helps?

Yes, she can apply. It does not matter. That is the beauty of Express Entry. There is no restricted job list. So she should be good to go.

You can also create a second profile in search for a PNP. Do not restrict yourself to only British Columbia. Getting a job offer in Canada from Naija will be extremely difficult, to say the least.

Cast your net wide to cover other provinces. Some of them do not require you to have a job offer.

Good morning!

It seems the Sask quota for EE nominee is filled up for the year. Does anyone have an idea of Provinces open to nominations without Job offers?
This would prove most useful if the CIC cut off scores don't come down to within 450 to 460.Its really getting scary

Hello house, finally I and my wife have registered for the IELTS. I guess that's d first step and d test is scheduled for 21st of may. I want to know if we can go ahead to do the WES or wait till we get our ielts results. And again, as advised here, my wife will be the PA because she has MSc. I want to also know if I have to do the WES as well because I have BSc and will there be a point for us if I do the WES as well.... Thanks as usual and God bless.
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by dupyshoo: 3:16pm On Apr 14, 2016
Yes, you should initiate the evaluation of your wife's credential immediately to prevent delay after your IELTS result is released.

If you evaluate your BSC, it is worth roughly about 10 points and your IELTS score will be worth maximum of 20.

With maximum IELTS score, perfect age, 3+ years of work experience and MSc, the maximum CRS she can get is about 454 as some of her scores (30) will be allocated to you. Last year, the CRS score went as low as 450 but it has been a bit higher (470) in the past few draws. Based on this, I will advise that you at least attempt IELTS. A good score from you and her will take your CRS to 470+,which seems to be the safe zone for now.

I just read about someone on another forum that got his/her PPR in 37 days!!

Guess what, the person application was processed by Accra VO. Accra VO has been noted to be very fast in processing application.

Those that will soon be submitting their application should pray that their file will be sent to Accra VO cos if it is sent to Ottawa, you are in for a long wait!!

Update: Medical passed. Schedule A request -personal history of spouse from 2014. Not sure why they've asked for this as we have it all filled in the eAPR. Any ideas? Thanks.

Maybe there's something there that was not clearly stated. There's someone who had such experience until it was discovered that in his wife's history, the period of NYSC was the problem as they wrote NYSC there and oyinbo no know wetin NYSC be, they then had to write it in full for oyinbo's understanding so, check very well what yours could have been, anywhere you used acronym, change to full name.

I think i need to say this as i'm experiencing being banned almost all the time or some of my comments removed. It seems Justwise is always suspicious of my comments after the last incidence, to the extent that i'm no longer free to write the way i want, i have to censor and censor so that my comments dont get raise suspicion and consequently removed or i get banned. I'm not trying to blow any trumpet, we still have people here who are knowledgeable but there could be a need to check the replies we give people so people dont get misled, its one of the major reasons i stayed otherwise. It can be very embarrasing when you are trying to be of help and someone chooses to frustrate your effort

When people get banned by ant-spambot they report it and it gets removed but all you do is to make false allegations and call for pity party

Thanks people. I will go ahead submitting her EE profile, its just that her NOC isn't needed in Saskachawan which is almost like the most friendly province. i need advice about other provinces not requiring job offer. Thanks.

Hi Gurus in the house,I'm a newbie here wt a couple of questions.
1. Just got a date in June for ielts..thinking of going ahead with WES,is there any part in the WES that would require IELTS results?
2. I have a BSc and MSc,and I have the transcripts of both.Does WES accept transcripts sent from individuals?or must it be directly from an academic institution?
3.Asides,the afore mentioned certs/transcripts,would others like WAEC/NECO still be required?
4.I am married, done change of name already but yet to change my name on my Int'l passport...can I go ahead and use my maiden name for all the application process?Or would it be an issue if me and my spouse have different surnames?
Thanks in advance smiley

1. No, it is even advisable you initiate evaluation of your credential alongside your IELTS
2. It must be sent directly from the institution
3. In fact, evaluating only your MSc. will suffice
4. Different surnames do not matter. I used my maiden name and it did not matter. However, it will be better if all the documents you will be submitting have the same name. For instance, is your bank account still in your maiden name?

Also would assessing the 2 attract same charges as just 1?Thinking I might still need to evaluate Bsc to get my practice license later on.

I have learnt a lot from you all, you have no idea how much your comments and advise has helped in dismissing my worries. Please i have three questions.

1. Do I also need to send photocopies of my credentials to WES.
2. How much in total does WES charge for bachelor and MBA evaluation.
3. What is the current exchange rate too.

Thanks
