I think any of these presidential combos would be formidable in 2019 for the PDP:

Dankwambo/Peter Obi
Adamu Mu'azu/Peter Obi
Mu'azu/Chris Anyanwu

The combination of the current Gombe governor, former Bauchi governor, and former Anambra governor and former Imo senator could excite the voting populations of the NE, SS and SE and could swing the election to this ticket. That is assuming the votes in the NC are roughly evenly split, and the PDP garners 35-40% of the vote in the SW.

PDP has missed it very BIG this time around. So, South Easterners can never be President in this country again?.

Luckily for the APC, by 2018, Nigeria will be refining a million barrels of crude daily (going from figures coming from Dangote refinery being built in Lekki and Oando being built in Badagary).

SEs are very funny. See their zoning arrangement. Are they planing or envisaging that the President then will die in office for a SE person to take over? Vice President ko, Vice President ni. It's laughable that SE want to be a vice president to a Northerner when you pple criticised SW for being vice to Buhari. But you pple said Vice President doesn't have functions. 2019 gonna be interesting... The election is going to be challenging for APC... If PDP can tactically play well propaganda game, they may have a good show close to that of APC. Definitely, while PDP will retain its support from south-east and south-south, APC supporting strength would have reduced in south-west by 2019 and of course, PDP will have a good show in the north unlike what happened in the last election... APc are in a catch 22 situation come 2019

PMB lost 3 elections with about 12 million votes but won in 2015 with about 15 or 16 million votes

Buhari has not truly expanded his political base and this is what the naysayers fail to understand. Buhari's political base is still Buhari's political base!

PDP lost the last election in the North central and South West really!

If Buhari runs in 2019 against a popular political candiate from Kano, Buhari will have his own vote split in the North West while Nigeria's new economic reality will defeat Buhari in every other part of the country

If Buhari does not run and let's say Osibanjo runs he has no chance against a PDP candidate from the North either

The only option for APC then is another Northern candidate other than Buhari, but I know that Buhari's "my way or the high mentality" in politics will never allow this happen! Instead of this to happen APC will be split and Buhari will float a new party with his CPC allies

Honestly if PDP play their cards right and play mature politics PDP will surely make a come back in 2019. The margin of PDP support will be that wide that Buhari may need armoured tanks on Election Day if he wants to rig the election by all means and even this will fail due to lack of elite support !
