I can understand why guys would try to make an "otherwise successful" woman feel incomplete without a man - they need to sustain their relevance to women.

For most women who aren't resourceful, leeching off of a husband is still the one sure way to make a living; so men are an obvious necessity. For financially liberated women like Linda, (who can afford to ask themselves "why do I want to get married" men aren't as indispensable. So these women get bullied into making a husband a "must have" commodity,( regardless of their needs or wants), by being told they have no respectability as human beings unless they are wives to men. It's even gotten so dire that it doesn't matter what kind of men; so long as he's a dangler.

Not every woman has an innate desire or the DNA to procreate and nurture (be it a husband or a baby); you should be able to tell by the babies being dumped in sewers every now and then. So, it doesn't matter how many times a woman is told she's supposed to want something or be something naturally, it's still going to feel applied in the end and she will revert to her familiar nature - often leaving broken homes, delinquent children or just a deeply frustrated husband in her wake.

For this reason, it became necessary to give a woman options - through education. If marriage is a "want" and not a "need", subsequently, "by-product families" will be avoided and People would be more deliberate and responsible in creating families for an improved society. Why would anyone not want this? Why would we eliminate the options again by resorting to social blackmail?
