The scan might have a +/- clause.
Sometimes scans are wrong, just continue to eat right cos whether you eat or not, nature has made it such that the baby gets all its nutrients even if it is from your bones or fat deposits.
Also the circumference of the head is also used to calculate EFW so big head will interprete as big baby.


I remember when Atinuke was in the tummy, I went to our HMO for scan at 36weeks, only for them to tell me I was due the next week and my baby was measuring for 39 weeks.....omo, I almost had heart attack.
I did the scan elsewhere and my former date was maintained. The baby was even 0.4kg smaller than what the authentic scan gave me.

Relax mama.

I don't take sugary things at all but i think i lots of rice. And my mum just sent me a bucket of starch, as per isoko woman. I've only eaten it twice sha. Maybe i'll just dash it out

Like I said earlier, just eat in moderation. Totally avoid junk food if you can. Eatt a great portion of protein and veggies. Eat carbs but not heavily.

Exercise is also very important. My dear, to push big baby no be beans. I experienced it and it wasn't funny. Its not about the cut but the stress of pushing wasn't funny at all

Your baby is within normal limits from what I have read. But you can also cut the carbs, and eat more proteins and veggies. Like you, I like rice a lot, but I am also petty about my weight. So I adjusted my food intake. I now eat a lot of beans (and beans product), broccoli, spinach, non-fat yogurt, low sugar cereal, fruits. I substituted those our normal parboiled rice for white rice and quinoa, and also subtituted amala, eba, pounded yam and all our naija swallow for oatmeal (trust me, it tastes good ). Lastly, trick your body and mind into eating smaller portions by using a small bowl to eat.

I was very happy with my weight yesterday when I stepped on the scale at the doctor's office. Gained just 1.5kg in 4 weeks

Hey! You know the thing about e- fights is that once you've spoken those words, you can't take them back. You are stuck with asking yourself if you overreacted or not.
Trust me pintoxx and cherrymum, you guys will look back on this day and wonder why you went down this road. No matter how right you claim, truth is that it shouldn't have come to this. I've learnt to choose my battle wisely. I'm a very nice and caring person( not hyping myself but people that know me love me to bits) but I've had an e fight here that I regret till today. Anytime I see d lady checking out this thread nd not commenting I feel bad. Was she right in her attack NO! Thinking back I should have handled it differently. She checked it some days back cos I saw her.

We need to learn how to react to things in a matured way. You can never tell tomorrow. Besides life is to sweet to allow a non issue become a big issue.
