How people concluded you made that comment because she has some story baffled me;even shows they still have whatever story it is in their minds too....

The scan might have a +/- clause.
Sometimes scans are wrong, just continue to eat right cos whether you eat or not, nature has made it such that the baby gets all its nutrients even if it is from your bones or fat deposits.
Also the circumference of the head is also used to calculate EFW so big head will interprete as big baby.


I remember when Atinuke was in the tummy, I went to our HMO for scan at 36weeks, only for them to tell me I was due the next week and my baby was measuring for 39 weeks.....omo, I almost had heart attack.
I did the scan elsewhere and my former date was maintained. The baby was even 0.4kg smaller than what the authentic scan gave me.

Relax mama.
You can reduce intake of sugary and overly starchy foods sha.

I am sept mum too. EDD is sept 30th

Welcome to d team sis, according to lmp we share d same Edd but 12 weeks scan put me on 18th.

I am a ftm like U bt I dont think u should worry much abt the baby's weight yet, my bestie gave birth on saturday to a 3.4kg baby while scan told her 4.05kg twice. whichever way, God will make it very easy for us all

Able mamas i dey greet o.my six year old daughter is down with chickenpox and i have a 1 month old baby.i hope that there is no cause for alarm

Ur baby's weight is measured from d abdominal circumference and That specific spot must be gotten in order to get an accurate measurement. The truth is it is difficult to get atimes and not every operson has. The patience to start looking for stomach to measure from dere so the use the nearest achievable circle to measure. So the weight will not always corespond.

Although ther is always grace of +/- 0.3kg as normal range. SO atimes ur baby might not even bi as big or mgt be bigger. Jus have ur mind at rest. U can confirm with anoda scan at a different center if u r really distured.

That said 27weeks at 1.4 is till with in range. It shud be 1.2 to 1.6kg. So ur baby no big. 27weeks is almost 3rd trimester. And ideal baby weight at term shud be 3 -3.5kg.
