hello, please I am new here, I applied to Concordia University of Edmonton for MISSM (masters of information system and security management) program. I got an admission offer this week after initially denying me admission as at the beginning of this month. I was asked to deposit $2500 acceptance fee. Please how do I go about the whole process and what conversion rate would be used to process this payment? |

3jayz: Good morning people, @ Khalesi, @Team12 and any other person who has applied for study permit with a child/ minor 1. Did your child have to undergo medical examinations? (I intend on doing upfront) 2. Even as you declared your spouse wasn't joining you, did you apply for a visitor's visa for him with your application or afterwards? 3. If the answer to 2 above is NO, did he have to do a police report and medicals? 4. The spreadsheet of estimated expenses (which I am contemplating drawing up to show how my children will be catered for) was it a part of your SOP or a separate document? I would appreciate a response from anyone who is knowledgeable on how this works. Thanks and have a splendid weekend. |

Did you apply to the same program again after been denied earlier this month. I don't understand. Please explain the bolded |

blackhoney: Yes! You will need to visit the immigration office with your admission letter. You will be asked to make a copy of your admission letter and submit it with your current passport and any other document required for passport renewal. |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by abestine(m): 7:21pm On Apr 20, 2016 |
blackhoney: My issue is somehow similar to yours. I need a reference letter from my working place, and d person in charge told me to get a new passport or I would be denied. My passport expires next yr March. He told me I can only get a new one in Abuja even when the former hasn't expired, that other branch offices don't do that. I'm still considering d options though. So you can get a new one in Abuja office |

Hello Uncles and Aunts, I have been a close oberver of this thread for a long time and I want your advice about my brother's issue. He submitted his Application for a study permit via paper route on March 18th and got a medical call April 4th. Medical was undergone by April 7th. He got an email from Immigration Canada on Monday April 18th that his processed passport has been Dispatched from the Canada Visa office in Accra to the Canada Visa Applicatiob Centre on 18-04-2016. My Question is; Does Canada approve visa even though no email was sent upfront to confirm this. We are really worried there is a problem since we did not get an email confirming that the Visa has been approved before the Passport was dispatched back to Nigeria Thank you all for your response |

Mehn!!! This is really getting tough!!! Situations like this makes me look back with a big smile on my face... I applied and got my visa not even upto a month. It was just God! My sponsor wasn't even my relative... my account was still fresh.. not upto a month like people will say but then, I wrote a letter of explanation myself and everything looks good to me before I fired it via paper application. But now, everything seems to have turned around...On the average, getting a response shouldn't be more than a month(4weeks) but now..... it takes 3 months with Grace to get a response from CIC.... Same for someone who applied for visiting.... its just weird!!! CIC why? Since February!!! 1 Like |

Yea sure,@stephike1 email me at michael.muller46@yahoo.co.uk. Tired of this CIC people. Canada Visa process is confirmed as the most tedious in the world. How can an application for study permit take over 3 months to process? What are they verifying... I think this is gross inefficiency... Other countries like the UK, US and Australia equally have thousands of applications they treat and dont take this long. Does anyone know the process of withdrawing a study permit application? I'm tired of the wait!!! |

Hi Guys, I'm new on NL... An immigration consultant (ICCRC member- Good standing) based in Canada applied for me via online route jan 29, i did my biometric feb1 at VFS. After so much wait... he decided to contact CIC regarding the status of my application and got the response below from this email address : Citizenship_and_Immigration_Canada@cic.gc.ca Sir, Madam, Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. I am pleased to follow up on your request: We have verified the information you provided and can confirm that your application is in process. If further information is needed, the responsible office will contact you. He says that a decision won't be long since they have responded to his contact... What do you guys think? I applied for advanced diploma in business administration (Note: no first degree yet... but over 6years of work experience in the same field) Married with a 5 month old son SOA 5.5million (personal account) Landed property (2) Dad's statement of account 2.5million (to support) evidence extensive expertise and work experience etc. I need your comments guys. App was property packaged though. A lawyer based in Canada providing me with a visa support letter. (The lawyer is an active member of the law society in Canada recognised by CIC. This just a brief outlay of what my application looks like. further details later. |
