U are a bit right, but for you to grow in faith, u need a solid foundation and continuous fellowship with fellow brethen, not necessarily Church.. But at least fellowship or gathering with believers

The Bible Is God's standard, but it seems people listen to their pastors than the Bible,if they cough, my pastor, is their urine colour changes, my pastor, if they see a shadow, my pastor, some people even use their pastors as their screen savers,some times we don't even need discerning spirit to know the true nature of these pastors,all you just need to do is observe,and let the Bible be your guide,not your what the pastor says,and if your pastor asks you to do what is Biblically and morally wrong,it time to flee,it doesn't matter if he performs miracles and wonders, because even the devil has power only that God is the most powerful, so let's not be blinded by what we see,the days are evil,many will do miracles so great that if it were possible even the very elect will be deceived,the Bible instruct us to respect our pastors as a figure of authority, but we must draw a line between respect and worship, the main aim of Christianity is to be Christ like and make heaven
