Gladys was in a relationship with Greg.
They had agreed no baby before marriage, so
they never make love without protection.
But somehow, Gladys took in without even
knowing that she was pregnant because she
was still menstruating until 3 months after.
It was when she took ill and was admitted in
the hospital that the doctor discovered she
was pregnant.
As soon as Greg learnt about the pregnancy
he started avoiding her and when ever he sees
her, he will not hesitate in calling her names
like prostitute, desperado and a cheat.
But Gladys was sure she did not sleep with
any other man except her fiancee Greg.
At a point the Doctor intervened by counseling
and making Greg understand that condom is
not 100% safe but Greg was adamant and
eventually he walked out of the relationship
without looking back telling anyone that cares
to listen that he was not responsible for her
pregnancy.
So Gladys had the baby who is now 11 years
old.
The problem now is that Greg has been going
to see the son in school. He revealed his
identity to the boy, even tried to convince the
boy that he's his father, they exchanged phone
numbers.
Meanwhile Gladys had told her son since he
was 5 that his father died in a car accident
when she was pregnant for him but he came
home one day just before this Easter,
confronted her that she lied to him about his
father and he is still pressurizing her to tell
him d truth if Greg is truly his father.
She is scared the man will eventually take the
son away from her, she is scared the son will
like and prefer his father over her, after
suffering for 11 years alone.
what do u think she should do to Greg and
how can she handle the son and make him
remain with her or stop thinking of the father? |

Some women can be selfish. She want the child to forget the father? Why would she lie about his father? The boy should report to the police and have the mother arrested. |

Vinshu:Did you really read, digest and understand the story at all? To think you're a woman...? |

4C2215131:Yes I read it! No matter what happens. A child is entitled to his father. When he grows older he will demand his father. So why wait till then? Telling the child the father died is pathetic. He must have mourned his dad meanwhile he is alive. The truth should be told then let the child choose |

jeloser:First off, she has a right to feel slighted and mad considering how he neglected her and stuff (wonder why they never opted for a DNA test? money maybe?). As it is now, for the chap to really be sure the boy belongs to him he has to conduct a test. Now, that aside she has to let him see the child. She has to explain to the child EVERYTHING that happened without bias (i.e turning the chap against his supposed dad...we don't know that yet). If she tells the story like she posted it, the boy will see a reason to stay with her. He's old enough to know stuff now so the issue of emotional and/or physical kidnap shouldn't bother her. She has no right to make him stop thinking of his dad. Children will ALWAYS seek out their dads, it's just a matter of time, it always happens even if just to know they were not adopted or picked up from the trash can. Again, she should have a discussion with the man (possibly with elders of both parties present) with regards on the role he'll be playing in the life of the child. The meeting should be civil and devoid of theatrics and rancour or threats from both parties especially the woman (easier said than done, I know). If done this way, she can be assured of her son being with her. |

Both parents should have gone for a paternity test. Simple. |
