Good morning Oga and all d gurus in the house, Please I need your guide on how to package my account for the uk visa. I am applying for Uk for the first time, I travelled last year to Dubai, to buy goods for sale, I work in a Federal Government agency with 5 years in its service. and I am also running my masters,i intend to get an introduction letter from my office and my school, My dilema is that I do not keep hold of money in my account, i normally turn over the money to buy new stuff, any moment I av reasonable amount but I have 650k in my cooperative account, in it. which I am intending to transfer to my personal acct, As my salary is paid, i put part in my cooperative while the remaining goes to my acct (15k). of which its on my payslip that am contributing to a cooperative society, I earn N115,000/month.though I av another account that most of my customers do pay in my money ,which I av the sum of 230k, mwhile I don't av a registered business name. just av fliers that I use for my advertisement. I also av a land that I bought in my office through this cooperative society. @Justwise please can you assist me with the question I posted. Thanks
diamondsare4eva:
Thank you frontpagelawyer. Please which is the right visa application a cousin can fill. Is it https://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk/home/welcome
or https://visas-immigration.service.gov.uk
The visa4uk allows you to set up your account to track your document via TLSContact using the GWF number generated while filling the fom, but for the visas-immigration, it doesn't give you the option. Please help

The link you are using is the right link but i'm not sure if your cousin is using it properly because it should give you more than one option.

Using unregistered business with no tax certificate for visa application will be difficult because there is no way to determine how will your business is doing and how much is your profit at the end of financial year.

So in this case only your salary is the only 'explained' sources of income.

You need to outline your budget for the trip and try to keep it within 2 months of your salary

@Justwise and others, pls i want to submit my uk Tourist Application and my Salary is 250k, and my Balance on my Salary Account is 850k, and this is my budget for 8days visit.

Bro why would you chose the UK for holiday on that salary? Flight ticket alone will take at least 3months of your salary let alone hotel, feeding and transport within the UK.

So basically you are going to spend almost all of that 500k in few days in the UK.

It will be difficult for you to get a visiting visa on that salary

His salary is okay for visa purposes

His salary is okay for visa purposes as I earn close to 110k monthly and still got a 5 year duration uk visa in February 2016 and have since used it to visit the uk for Easter. Although I had a history of 11 visits to uk in the last 5 years when I applied ; don't know if it helped my application

Do you have the same profile?

I don't know if he is a first timer or not but I understand that every application is treated on its own merit with little or know reference to previous travels. Don't know if I'm right though

Greetings to you all,

I am currently filling the UK visa application online, but they require details of hotel reservation.

I have gone online trying to do an hotel reservation but it requires credit card, can anyone advise me how to go about this?

Appreciate your positive feedbacks.

Firstly you are right about every application been treated on its merit.... But previous applications and previous records are considered too... if you over stay your previous visa or you worked while you were not meant to work... it will definitely affect your visa application....

Your salary is on point..... Applicants must show that they have approximately £800 per month for the first two months to cover initial costs. This is maintenance cost. 3 month original bank statements printed from a teller at your local bank..

oanda.com to do you calculation ( lets say approximately 500k) not up to that though.

The most important thing is to show you have things that will bring you back to nigeria....
property documents..... and maybe other relevant document that will show you will be coming back....

If you are employed, you will need the following:
o Letter confirming your employment
 This letter needs to be on a company letterhead
 Needs to be dated
 Needs to state all contact details of your employer
 Needs to state your starting date of employment
 Needs to confirm that permission for leave has been granted
o Confirming travel dates

Payslips (ideally last 3 but 1 is sufficient)

If staying initially at a B ‘n B or hotel:
 Reservation confirmation showing dates booked and contact details

If staying with friends or family:
 Letter of invitation
 Needs to state the date
 Needs to state the address
 Needs to state the invitees contact details
 Can be faxed or scanned and emailed
 Utility or accounts bill sent to the invited address
 Must be in the invitees name
 Lease agreement can be used
 Can be faxed or scanned and emailed
 Copy of invitees passport and/or visa
 To show their legal status in the UK
 Can be faxed or scanned and emailed

Hope that helps.... The rest document you should know what to do ... Good night

Use your GTB cc to make hotel reservation..... some of the hotels do not need you to pay out-rightly they jsut want you to book. You can try booking.com , they allow booking without payment.

It varies, not a fixed amount..... Cos it involves sewing of female outfits and sales of fabrics.....
