Is this caused by the reclaimed sand-filled land for Eko Atlantic?

As long as the eco Atlantic City sand filling is going on, the water will definitely find other porous zones like these ones will keep getting over flooded.

The Lagos state government knows these but they are pretending because of the money they are already making from the eco Atlantic sales.

In developed countries, seaside and water view houses are for the upper class. But here, one can only sleep with one eye open just incase the Atlantic decides to take your home for a ride. I remember the government was dropping stone to curb the erosion. The government should also stop the activities of the block moulding industries at the beach who dig sand for block making. The sand ought to serve as a natural barrier but when it always dug, the sea will keep eroding whatever is left.
in fact seaside houses are built by top Engineering companies. In Nigeria here, you see seaside houses constructed by fringe bricklayers. Terrible

I couldn't agree more. Perhaps the appropriate building certification authorities should ensure these houses are up to specs.

Thank you oooo. Nigeria is so blessed with Land Resources, but the foolish people prefer to waste billions on buying water, filling it and building their companies and houses there. The day rain will fall heavily for seven consecutive days, their eyes will open widely for them to see their stupidity.

Nigeria, a country that can't even afford to pay 5000 naira stipend to her growing unemployed youths can afford to build houses on water. Funny

[b]did anyone notice there was full moon last night, this is a result of lunar tide :

" Tides are created because the Earth and the moon are attracted to each other, just like magnets are attracted to each other. The moon tries to pull at anything on the Earth to bring it closer. But, the Earth is able to hold onto everything except the water. Since the water is always moving, the Earth cannot hold onto it, and the moon is able to pull at it. Each day, there are two high tides and two low tides. The ocean is constantly moving from high tide to low tide, and then back to high tide. There is about 12 hours and 25 minutes between the two high tides.

Tides are the periodic rise and falling of large bodies of water. Winds and currents move the surface water causing waves. The gravitational attraction of the moon causes the oceans to bulge out in the direction of the moon. Another bulge occurs on the opposite side, since the Earth is also being pulled toward the moon (and away from the water on the far side). Ocean levels fluctuate daily as the sun, moon and earth interact. As the moon travels around the earth and as they, together, travel around the sun, the combined gravitational forces cause the world's oceans to rise and fall. Since the earth is rotating while this is happening, two tides occur each day.

In landscaping, I have learnt to try not to violate natural law. Nature itself is beautiful and instead of tampering with the nature, why not learn to make use of it. Call me for ur landscaping
