The bitter battle land between Celestial Church of Christ and The Deeper Life Bible Church have come to an end legally as court has struck out the appeal case filed by the Deeper Life Church challenging the judgment of a Lagos High Court which ordered Deeper Christian Life Ministry to pay N5m as damages for trespassing on a parcel of land belonging to the Celestial Church of Christ, CCC,

CCC had sued Deeper Life Church over the disputed land situated at Mulero, Agege, Lagos. On January 17, 2014, the Lagos High Court declared the CCC as the rightful owner of the land and awarded N5 million as damages against Deeper Life Church.

Dissatisfied with the verdict, Deeper Life Church appealed the ruling and urged the appellate court to set the entire judgment aside. But, in a unanimous decision, the appellate court struck out the appeal after pointing out that the CCC obtained its title in 1973 as against that of Deeper Life Church which was obtained 1998.

Settle with your adversaries on your way before they deliver you to various other hasher Judges. And I God will watch all the steps taken and be the final Judge. Cele and Deeper life will still be judged by God.

Such a shame to the body of Christ that such dispute had to be settled in such manner. What happened to the scripture that says "let brotherly love continue " which both denominations teach to their brethren.
Come to think of it, both denominations would have been praying and fasting to the same God for a favorable court decision. So is God partial?

That two churches can not settle their differences amicably within and between themselves is an indication of how badly we practise christianity here. Imagine Jesus taking the Pharisees to court of law.
