GEB will not address the percieved discrimination against females in Nigeria. The child rights act of 2003 has failed to better the lives of Nigerian children. Child Marriage, child labour & violence against children is still a big problem. The problem isn't legislation but implementation. Culture & poverty are some other major factors. I wonder why some people selectively talk about child brides while ignoring the almajiri's or violence against women & keep mute when it comes to violence meted out against children by women. I expect proponents of the GEB to clearly articulate areas of discrimination against females & push for reforms/better implemention, this they have failed to do. I believe changing the cultural narrative is the best approach towards getting the desired result.

IMO, sexual abuse is most perpetrated on the male child. You mean, Even if some female folks are treated so wrongly across Nigeria, the ones you know are treated even better than the male, as a result of sensitivity.

Even if kinda agree, that will be just a little, no matter the part of Nigeria that you are in, if a woman decides to place her career fight before marriage she will be attacked fiercely by both men and women, take linderikeji for example.
