It should also recommend immediate disarmament and confinement of all cattle rearers in the state as well as routine, unannounced checks/searches of all Hausa-Fulani communities in Enugu State for seizure of illegal arms and immediate prosecution of any of them found in possession of such arms.

I think it is time the entire South creates a parallel security outfits that is indigenous( like reactivating bakassi boys, opc, egbesu etc) to the various local communities prone to attacks from these new boko harm and stop wasting statestate resources on federally owned agencies.


What happened would never have occurred if the same amount of resources wasted on the logistics of the federal agencies were to be given to bakassi boys... Just name them ENUGU state vigilante service

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm!! To the best of my understanding, security vote is at the discretion of the government.

The basic across board used to be #40million, I guess moststates have jacked up their budget!!

In simple english, "I am budgetting amount X as security vote". Federal government sends cash to the states, what they do with it is their thoro!! That's why you see the imbalance in the figures.

And for the record, Nairaland is a fora where opinions are expressed through "Typed" text. Nobody really talks on Nairaland, its not an audio chat!!
