@Tunai, how long did you prepare before you had the test? The PTE Academic test builder by Macmillian is what I'm preparing with right now. It is popular on this thread, if you like to have it let me know.

@ doyen06, what was your score when you did the test

^^^^ Well, there no wrong in trying. I can't categorically say you will get a positive or negative assessment until you submit an application.
2. That is the sole jurisdiction of the assessing authority. Simply means using your experience in lieu of degree by giving you credits for it.

Thanks alot@ bellong

Please sir, I want to ask if by God's grace
I finally make it to Australia with visa 189

Does it mean as an independent visa holder
I am free to live anywhere in Australia? ?

Since I am not being sponsored by any employer or any state, it means I find jobs by myself whenever, wherever??

3. How much do I need to document during Dibp processing of visa 189 for myself, wife and twin children ?

4. Do the Australian govt support the education of children of PR holders? To what level?

5. Are children of PR holders entitled to any welfare package aside medicare??

6. Where can I read about the benefits of having Australian PR?

7. If I am accessed as an ICT professional on visa 189path

Does it mean I must work in an IT sector in Australia? ??

Many thanks@ bellong

Big Congratulations Akinnawou on your PTE score and your outcome. That was a wonderful score! You get 20 points.

First and foremost, one good thing about your outcome is your education is assessed as equivalent to Bachelors degree under the AQF so you are entitled to 15 points.

Secondly, you cannot use this outcome letter to apply as a Professional Engineer, rather, you can apply as an Engineering Technologist Anzsco code 233914 on the SOL.

With regard to your age, you get 30 points until November 2016. Since you have 65 points in your kitty, you will most likely get invited before November.

When filling your EOI your points will be calculated for you. The sooner you apply the better. Congrats again. I'm glad I could be of help. @scrollmeout November is seven months away, why that far. Also, does being invited have something to do with a super point? I thought once you hit the 60 point benchmark, you are s good as someone with 65 or more points

Lovetrust,

There are some information you can easily get online by just typing it in Google. Will try to answer those I can answer.

1. Subclass 189 gives you freedom to move to any state you desire at anytime while 190 says you have a moral obligation to live in the state of sponsorship for 2years.

2. Irrespective of the visa subclass you choose, you will have to find job yourself. No one or state will do that for you.

3. Border force does not need any financial evidence or statement, they will only advice you to be able to support yourself for at least 6months as it is the window phase of looking for a job.

4. Public schools to secondary level (high school) are more or less free because you only pay fraction of the fee. It is cheap.

5. Children are entitled to subsidized childcare fee based on parents' income, it could be as much as 70%. There is family benefits for low income family.

6. If you really read the opening posts and the links as claimed, you would have read extensively of this from one of the links.

7. You can work in any sector you want as long as the employer is ready and willing to employ you. The occupation you came in with does not limit the type of job you can do, you only need to proof to employers you have the skill needed.

That response was for him and him alone. EOIs are ranked according to scores. This means someone with 65 points will be invited before another with 60 points. Different occupations have their own cutoff points. For someone who nominated accounting, 60 points will not be sufficient to get a nomination in 7 months because it is already pro-rata. Most people gave scores above 60. I merely stated that he is likely to be invited BEFORE November when he will drop from 65 points to 60 points. It doesn't mean he will be invited in November

hmm, interesting.it seems its how many high points one can garner.let me ask,at present am on 65 points without claiming points for work experience, and am waiting till july before i can expect to be invited. by june, i wld be three years on my present job,so that means i can then claim work experience and 5 points, which would add up to 70 points,ur opinion on this Sirs..

i have a baby too and i took her immunization record booklet to FATAYI williams it was rejected. They claim her last polio vaccination was at 9 months thus they gave her anoda drop. If you can i will advise you take your baby to Fatayi Williams have them give your baby the vaccination and collect your certificate.

jukeblam:
Anyone with a similar case who included a baby dependent can help out here.

I just got a request from CO requesting for baby's "polio vaccination certificate"; baby is just over a year old, so has had the OPV taken during one of the routine immunization days.

Would a scan of the immunization records booklet suffice as a certificate? Or the certificate has to be from Fatayi-Williams Clinic too?

Only EA can say u have the work experience u claim. so if u want to do that u will have to send just that work experience to EA for assessment.

Chai. And am even thinking of hustling up tho 20 points from English test to make a60. Since my chances are limited with 60 pointa for 189, will I get an advantage of I should aim 190 with the 60points. Is anything like that possible?

How many months after your baby's last vaccination was this?

Don't mind Fatayi Williams...they just want money. I never even took any Polio or Yellow Fever vaccination from them. I uploaded our govt hospital card showing we got the booster dose for polio to the CO, and for the Yellow Fever, i took the same booklet to the ports health. to get the card, and didn't have to immunise again. This was for we adults.

For the kids - All I did was upload my children's immunisation booklet to the CO...and it was accepted with no objection. Immi/Border Force has no issues with that. When it came to departure, I took their booklet to the ports health and they were issued a yellow fever card without having to immunise again.

One was 18mths old, and the other was 3/4weeks old when I did all these.

I don't know why Fatayi Williams gave another polio dose after 9mths. It is not only unethical, it is not WHO recommended. OPV/IPV ends at 10 weeks I think.

Upload her immunisation booklet (Front n Back) on your immi account, I can assure you it will be accepted.

BKings, don't stress yourself unnecessarily. 60 points will do you just fine, except yout want to get nominated in the very next invitation round or your occupation is in very high demand. All the same put in your very best in your English test.Do not aim for 190 or 489 except you find yourself in that situation. Same for Akinnawou with 65 points, just investigate how long it takes someone with 65 points for Engineering Technologist to be invited

@bellong

if one meets the 60points mark for visa 189 (with occupation on sol) from

age, qualification and English test and does not have work experience for assessment, will he/she be eligible for assessment by the assessing body (e.g. ACS)?

thanks.
