I was wondering if we get the perm migration visa ( my husband is qualified ) , and my husband, the principal applicant decides to stay back in Nigeria while the rest of the family stay in AUS, he will be coming to visit though, are there any penalities?

1. Yes you can enter before the primary applicant. The privileges are the same...no difference at all. The visas are independent of each other, once approved.

2. I know the visa fees have been increased. But for 2 adults and 2 kids in 2014, the total was about A$6,300. Exchange rate fluctuates between 130-140 naira to 1 AU$.

3. The permanent residency visa is a bit tricky. I will just list out the points.
a. The visa itself is valid for 5yrs, if you intend travelling in and out. But at the same time, you can live in Aus indefinitely on the same visa, if you don't intend travelling out of the country.
b. If you intend travelling out and returning to the country after the 5yrs is up, and you don't have citizenship, you will need a RRV (Resident Return Visa). It is advisable to get it onshore before leaving. It takes just 1-2days if onshore, but up to a week if offshore.
c. But, to qualify for a RRV, you must have stayed a total of 2 years (it can be a combination of different short stays) during the 5yr period.
d. There are some exceptional circumstances where a stay of less than 2yrs can be accepted.
e. You have to validate your visa within 1yr of medicals and/or pcc.

You cannot claim any work experience before the July 2013. So your work exp will be 3 years from July 2016.

If you can find an occupation that closely match your skill on either of the lists, is better than going as a student. Study visa cost a lot of money with little or no incentive.

Check the CSOL, it has many finance related occupations.

Please I want to ask this question so that I won't be hooked up at the middle of my work.the occupation I want to be assessed on is not on SOL rather CSOL and its been nominated by SA.
But my fears right now is that its under special conditions that is the yellow mark.please how can I cross this bridge because the conditions under occupation with special is something that one may not be able to scale through.how can I be able to get 85 points.pls how can this be possible.
