Since the Olubadan is also a brown roof merchant, they might as well make it a general law for all the roofs in the city to be painted brown. Nice, France, is a classic example. It's called "red roof city" for a reason.

Anyway, Ibadan is due for regeneration. And hopefully, the folks there will leave amala mentality behind and embrace something different. The city should be competing with Lagos right now.

I don't get why some people get angry unnecessarily when some deliquents insult ibadan with brown roofs, those roofs are reflections of early contact with modernity, when ibadan people started using zinc roofs, some people were still using raffia palms for roofing their mud round huts. Brown roof isn't an insult, comments of such just reek of envy and jealousy, south west have it all, as in all.
