These trailers has claimed so many lives either as a result of recklessness or bad state of the roads they ply.In real sense, trailers are not ment to be operating in the same route with private cars & commercial buses considering the level of risk involved esp.in Nigeria where motorists never have rest of mind due to bad road network. The best approaches is to ban all trailers from operating in the day time.So by the time the road is less busy they can go about delivering their goods.

Things that stopped killing people 50 years ago in some saner countries still kill people in Nigeria.

You naturally have to be anxious about everything!

Accidents, trucks carrying containers, ritualists, Okada, armed robbers, rapists, serial killers, swindlers and scam artists, kidnappers, food poisoning, organ dealers, pick pockets..No wonder our stress levels are high and we are quick to bad temper and violence.

We are like the ever ready to be violent cave man.

You are right.

Unfortunate country.

Let the government restrict their movement to night movement, to at least save lives.

Which government abeg? One Dangote equals 120million Nigerians since the days of John the Baptist.
...pls, note that the Nigerian govt is such a joke that Dangote (plus his trucks) will even restrict the govts movement but never the other way round.

Well... to me, its not the truck drivers fault, if you have been on that oshodi road, buses drives "one way" recklessly, the truck driver might have failed brake. And from the look of that picture, he tried very hard controlling the truck, but for the buses that dont drop or pick up at bus-stops, or stay in parks or the passengers that scream "owa here"...

Well... advanced countries are not religious... they are extremely safety concious, and it works for them
