They said I should send my bank statements with my name and billing address through fax, but I dont know how to do it. And they cancel my orders.

I'm paying for school fees (currency=rands)
The lady at the desk after filling d form and collecting my docs even visa photocopy she asked for return ticket I told her I haven't arranged my travel but she said its part of docs needed (when I talked to d customer care line they dint mention it STANBIC) but she said she'll send it but if they say its required they'll contact me today and the day is over so I was thinking I've escaped that.

If they misbehave, try Union bank, one of my friends sent his own last week. He used Union Bank.

Amazon wouldn't do that without reason. Are you sure your transactions have been straightforward? If you're using your own card linked to a bank account with your own address then you shouldn't need to do any verification because the bank guarantees that in allowing the payment to be processed. If they're asking for bank statements that means something doesn't line up somewhere.

Your billing address on Amazon should perfectly match the permanent address on your bank account. Go back and confirm that. Then instead of asking Nairalanders who don't know anybody at Amazon from Adam to help, call them or email their customer service. You'll end up emailing the scanned documents to them because no-one faxes anymore but don't do that without speaking to them first otherwise there's no guarantee that the right person will see it and attach it to your account.

If they cancelled your order, you should have received a refund by now. Call your bank and confirm that, and also see if they were given any more details about the failed transaction.

Good luck and next time be careful to keep your personal details straight across every platform that you use.

Your billing address is not necessarily your shipping address, if your card was issued here in Nigeria, then use the Nigerian address used in opening your account as your billing address while you use your US uncle's address as your shipping address

The fact the account is dominated in Naira does not really mean anything for now because no Nigeria bank will allow local deposit into foreign account , but such services is operated in Ghana and other Africa countries . So it implies that you will need to ask them the value in Pounds and do the transfer....
