Caroline and Alaric's twins siphoned the magic from the door of the armoury's building leaving Damon to enter the haunted room and find the last everlasting which he set on fire severing the link between it and Bonnie which was somehow in the nick of time because she was about to deal a final blow to Enzo with a stake to his heart. Damon was however possessed by the thousand year old evil creature. He was trapped in the room and the door could only be opened by a member of the armoury which at this time was Enzo, he actually did and was also possessed by the creature. Stefan throw all he could at the door but it was Alaric that opened it. When they got in the room was clear meaning Damon and Enzo got out somehow from the room unleashing their new found evil on some set of people whom they killed and were hung upside down. Matt was also shown leaving Mystic fall, he said the fight was not his from the start...
