They don't even spend up to that to feed one inmate in a month. If they include other expenses, I may not argue, but for feeding, no way.

Make them show us the inmates first.if them no look malnourished

I said it n will keep saying it, the corruption in prison service is beyond words.

so they budget 14k for feeding to each inmate but the real input no reach 800naira.

chai see money wey people dey embezzle everyday, yet omenka, kyase , beremx, donphilous, midonian still want politicians who embezzled to be jailed n fed with 14k everyday when common man no see even 500 chop for a day.

u guys might think they lying but in actual sense it is the truth. I heard In prison there is vip section where top politicians r being kept, so u dont expect these guys to eat from d same pot of soup meant for the agberos n commoners.

I can now see why prisons cant be decongested cos its a conduit pipe to loot money.

there r so many ways to decongest, stoo d menace of public officials engaging in corrupt practice. no need jailing them, sending them to go eat 14k food daily, just confiscate their properties, sentence them to 1yr community service. imagine a former govr sweeping mile 12 market everyday or removing dirts in the gutter every morning, the shame alone go discourage others. dont forget they will be fully adorned with prisoner uniform so everybody go know say na criminal him be.

This is information is misleading and wrong. He said N10 billions for 70,000 inmates per annum this will give us N391 daily. https://www.today.ng/.../spends-n10bn-annually-feed...
