Like i said earlier, i don't even buy the idea of risking so much on perishables but that doesn't mean it's not genuine. Right from when i read it i could relate with the story because just about 2 weeks earlier i knew how my elder sis on visiting her family was complaining how a lot was spent on just little stew, and now it's rather 400% more expensive than then that my mum says most vendors no more even dare sell due to the price, chill and let's get the adventurous story from him, E no ask anybody for money sef.

adventurous indeed. Tales by moonlight.

what more evidence do you need after this trash he posted here. It is very deceptive, follow at your own risk.

your very funny I know ymodulus personally
so investing at my own risk is my prerogative
next he never asked anyone to invest if he did quote and show me and everyone.
Lastly I cant remember if my life time when I have been duped and that was a phone and I got the phone back.

atimes i wonder if people really think with their brains or anus. How can someone post this trash and people swallow it hook, line and sinker. I blame the moderators in part for not scrutinizing trashes before it gets to front page. That was how that same guy (ymodulus) posted one trash here about him commiting suicide, he gave step by step details about how he wanted to commit suicide and people were all over here ranting ''we should save him'', and running helter skelter to save him. He always gang up with his cohorts to deceive gullible people. He is a habitual con man and lair. He is 23, and he is worth over N100m and upon all his wisdom and all thriving businesses he could delve or invest into, he chose a tomato. Had it been he mentioned canning of tomatoes, i would have forced myself a bit to believe his trash. He is a blo0dy liar and i pity those that are gonna fall prey to him.

let me show you now where you said he is a scammer/con man
Read what you wrote above
"he is a habitual con man".

Lots of jealous folks on here. The Op clearly stated his adventure and it's open for anyone to take the risk or not, but he clearly stated in one of his comments that he's not interested in working with anybody, so how on earth will you accuse him of scamming people??
I have my reservations as regards what he wrote, but lodging complaint about what he wrote when I have never tried this exact venture of tomatoes will be silly.
If you feel he's lying, state your reasons but there's no need to attack him; he has proven his business acumen here so many times while y'all have never shown us what you're capable of doing.

Nice read. I have discussed something like this before and I have a thread which has helped many people understand this:

https://www.nairaland.com/1163912/funds-not-business-actually-need

I have also always maintained that there is a huge demand for all these products. However, my approach was that people should plant these vegetables including tomatoes in Nigeria and make more profit. Imagine, you planting the tomatoes and then selling instead of importing it. Ymodulus has done good for himself and I like his business mind. I will implore that he gets a land and start cultivating this product here in Nigeria together with his import and later when his farm is sustainable, he can reduce the import. In this way, the money stays within Nigeria and helps the economy. And all other youthful mind wanting to jump into this business must think this way...What if I can plant this crop myself?. My thread has explained the potentials and how any type of tomatoes can grow in any part of the world. It was something we did in our little garden in Ondo State with just little fertilizer, our tomatoes were bigger than most bigger tomatoes in the market and for a year we had continuous supply of tomatoes. I explained all these in my thread. You can also read of other business ideas; areas untapped that people can go into. Not everybody can go into the commodity business. No matter how good Ymodulus explains to you, you can't understand until you start and feel it yourself. I did some business years ago in the area of bringing down yams from the North to sell in Lagos and so on. I had to learn the risks when losing and then gained afterwards. In short, please let us encourage Nigerian produce....let the planting begin. Check the thread for other areas you can tap.
This is the best counter post to the topic. Sir I bow to this initiative and would love to take part in agriculture but I have no experience in practical farming. Is there any way you can help me in mentorship?

Preserving tomatoes in Nigeria is 'rocket-science'. Considering the Nigerian factor, freezing at sub-zero and noob-saibot temperature is almost impossible, unless you have a market that will pay N500 for a single tomato fruit after the freezing.
My friend u don't have any money to fund anytin, build Solar and freeze ur tomatoes simple and stop disturbing us here

look at who is trying to play words with me mumu
A grifter/con man and scammer all do the same job
check your dictionary for the meaning of the three word and understand them intently.
it's just like telling me the word scammer and "419er" in the layman's language don't depict the same thing.
Note : in English your no match for me....

Oga calm down, Markudi-Ogoja shouldn't be more than 3 hours 30 minutes abeg. Na 80kph una dey do?.

ExplicitContent:
Markudi to ikom is not a 3-4 hrs drive miss

Markudi-Ikom is actually 4-5 give or take. The only bad point that might really delay you is Ekpogrinya or something like that.

This is coming from a regular driver through that route.

Caveat: Private car actually..

Instead of tapping into the genuinety of the op, some are hating on him. Why not get a life outside of Nairaland. This Is a very young man, raking in good cash flow. We need more like him. He inspired me into the business line I'm in today. I employ people now.

nobody is hating on him.some people are being cautious and diligent in thinking.
he may be real , he may not be. there is no case for uncertainty in personality when huge sums of money is involved. there is no insurance to cover you here in the case of an eventuality and when your money is gone, it is 6ft under. Nothing and nobody to do a thing about that.

MOST Real businessmen won't tell you how they make their money unless the boom is over let alone telling millions of people on a site called nairaland where your business can be under threat under a couple of minutes with hungry entrepreneurs ready to prowl.

Those who are investigative are not stupid.

There is nothing like easy money in business let alone agriculture... you think farmers are not ready to make extra profit or the Hausa farmers don't have link to farmers in Cameroon.

people are just curious not stupid.

where is that child calling someone a con man, come and read this
am sure if it was "you," you would say ymodulus is a con man instead of having an open mind to things and learning.More over they are the ones that have nothing to offer.
