#OCCUPYINGMINDS: #NIGERDELTAMILITANTS...Every time a Crude Flow Station is Destroyed by Militants in the Niger Delta, The Environment is Damaged; Our Land is Polluted and Our Communities are subjected to more hardships...Let the Bombing Continue, who will lose?...The Government of PMB is dragging the Nigerian Economy away from Crude Oil; Lagos State has Joined the League of Oil Producing States and the Northern Part of Nigeria whose Reserves have been cynically suppressed over the years will begin production within the next months to two years. With time, We from the Niger Delta would have destroyed our Lands so much that future generation will curse us their Fathers and Mothers for killing their dreams. Let the Stupidity Continue my People...Don't stop the blowing up of pipelines. Everyone of us thinks that a Blown Pipeline is an attack on PMB and His Government of Change...Insanity on display I must say. Kano and Lagos are Leading the way in Tomatoes Paste Production and Tomatoes don dey scarce shebi? The Northern Landmass alone is about 4 times the entire Landmass of the SS and the SE; Agriculture will revolutionize the North within the next decade...We from the Niger Delta will use our Oil to soak Garri and we think we are punishing Nigeria? Think Again, but Kontinu. I have been reliably informed, that the More Pipeline we blow-up, the more the Resolve of this President to get the Nigerian Economy off oil...The More the Presidency blocks loopholes; The More the desire for alternative Revenue; The More the Nigerian People get pissed off by our Stupidity. The Future is Lost to the Greedy, Selfish Demons of Today. Blow Pipelines if you can, Nigeria is moving on. We have a President who is capable of making the hard decisions and willing to firmly sustain those hard choices. Blow Pipelines abeg. Let Nigeria Suffer and Let our land be wasted. Kontinu killing your own future by your own hands. WEEP NOT FOR THE NIGER DELTA!!! OUR ENEMIES ARE WITHIN!!! |

I am not for or against the Subsidy removal. this government have spent barely a year in office, its not even up to 1 year and they know the subsidy removal they kicked against 4 years ago needs to be removed. if this government opposed the subsidy removal in 2012 knowing it needed to be removed but because of their quest of power decided to deceive Nigerians then they are Evil. The never meant well. This government has taken other harsh decisions without setting anything in place to alleviate the suffering. And after taking these decisions they come out to give excuse(some even result to telling lies) and make promises. Is there any of their campaign promise they have kept? You have four years to rule and you'v spent almost 25% of your number of days in office and nothing to show for it, not to talk of the fact that they deceived us into voting for them with propagandas and lies. If the subsidy removal is good for us, then it should be removed but one thing that is now obvious is " This government is a fraud". |

You highlighted an Ailing Economy and Limited Forex as the Chief reasons for increase in fuel price now. My questions are; 1. Who/what is the cause for this ailing economy? Given that the new president inherited the number one economy in Africa, and a country who was among the global emerging economy(s). MINT(Malaysia,Indonesia,Nigeria and Turkey). 2. What is the cause of limited Forex? Given that the new president reduced the level of Forex in Nigeria. I believe this present government is the cause for the above problems and have realised their mistake and therefore are using Nigerians to make up for their mistake. |

My question is if we can peg the price ceiling at #145 now that a barrel of oil is selling at between $40 & $50, what provisions are being made to make it affordable when the price per barrel of oil increases to $100 and above in the international market? |

SonOfEl: AS I SAID BEFORE , GOD BLESS YOU FOR YOUR IN-DEPTH ANALYSIS. MOST OF THE COMMENTS HERE ARE STILL CLOUDED WITH DEFENDING NEPOTISTIC STATEMENTS LADEN WITH VARIOUS POLITICAL UNDERTONES AND INCLINATIONS. THE FACT REMAINS: THIS WAS JUST AN INCREASE IN FUEL PRICE SIMPLE! |

DEAR OP, I DO NOT SEE SUBSTANCE IN YOUR POST. WHY? I'VE GOTTEN SO TIRED OF THESE PRO-JONATHAN/PRO-BUHARI PROPONENTS , THEIR OPINIONS AND MOSTLY BIGOTED VIEWS. THEY JUST DON'T MAKE SENSE. I TEMPTED TO BASH THEM WITH ALL THE VILE INSULTS I CAN THINK OF. THESE PEOPLE THAT YOU SUPPORT CAN SAY HOW "THEY FEEL YOUR PAINS" AND THEY MIGHT EVEN BE SINCERE ABOUT IT - WHICH I DOUBT - BUT THEY DON'T EXPERIENCE THE HARDSHIP WE FACE EVERYDAY, THE ABUSE FROM LAW ENFORCEMENT, HIKES IN PRICES OF NECESSARY COMMODITIES AND SERVICES, LET ME STOP THERE. ONLY HISTORY WILL TELL HOW GOOD OR BAD THEIR ACTIONS AND DECISIONS WERE. BUT WHAT I FIND MOST ASTONISHING IS HOW PERSONAL EACH SIDE TAKES IT WHEN SOMETHING IS SAID ABOUT THE LEADERS THEY SUPPORT. I WONDER IF BUHARI OR JONATHAN IS THEIR FATHER, OR MAYBE THEIR GOD. IT'S THIS THING WITH NIGERIANS, THEY CAN SUPPORT AND COVER SOMEONE, EVEN IF THAT PERSON IS LEADING THEM TOWARDS HELL. AND THEY ALWAYS FIND EXCUSES, NO MATER HOW BASELESS, TO EVERYTHING THE PERSON DOES. NO WONDER OUR LEADERS ALWAYS GET AWAY WITH ANYTHING THEY DO. INSTEAD OF HOLDING THEM ACCOUNTABLE FOR BAD LEADERSHIP, WE ALWAYS FIND SOMETHING, OR SOMEONE TO BLAME IT FOR. GOD SAVE NIGERIA! AND I PRAY FOR MY GENERATION, THAT GOD CHANGES THE WAY WE THINK! |

And u trust a government that's it's minister for information is already borrowing #13million. Even with the claims that warri and portharcourt refineries were working, there was still scarcity of d product in those cities. even when u manage to get it, u still have to pay 130 - 140 per litre. |

hazyfm:How can you remove subsidy, give the marketers room to fully supply, yet you place a price Tag ?----->> *** Please can you state reasons how the Government came about the 145naira/litre Price which the pegged it. **** Because, as at 1pm now, most NNPC mega stations are selling at this govt stipulated price. |

No reasonable comment here! All the debates here is about GEJ and PMB showing how we build our institution of government around individuals. Please discuss the benefits or otherwise of these policies on the lives of the ordinary Nigerians. My take: The subsidy removal at this time is demonic! . Salaries as low as N18K are not being paid and job losses here and there. How do the govt expect the populace to survive? Government claim they don't have money, so now they want to exploit the populace for their own survival - it is like the common man providing cushion for the government. It should be the other way round.Government cannot provide reliable mass transit and power supply at least to help the people. The people have no choice but to provide it for themselves. Now government decided to increase the price of PMS so that the people cannot even provide them anymore. Well, Nigerians as we know cannot speak with one voice; they are divided along party, ethnic, religious, affluence and even common sense lines. Keep supporting this insincere government at your own peril. I don talk finish. Madam wey u dey...any cold beer? |
