We have the ministries, government parastatals like Water Corporation, revenue board,Nigerian Television Authority,Kogi broadcasting Corporation,Civil Service Commission etc.

For the camp,it's kinda okay. The toilet situation is just what you expect when you have multitudes. For the female toilets, there re cleaners who clean and monitor how people use it too.Don't know about the male toilets.

You might also what to get an Airtel sim for surfing the net. That's the best network over there. If possible, try go to camp a day before it opens,so you will able to start your registration early the next day.
Registration is very stressful but I can assure you, you will enjoy Asaya Camp.Just make friends.
During registration, you will be given some handbooks, one contains your timetable throughout your stay in camp.
Normal routine is,the beagle wakes you up by 4:30 or 5am(can't really remember the exact time),you gather outside on the field into your various platoons (You will be given your various platoons during reg),you have your morning prayers, morning meditations, soldiers come to give marching orders(your platoon soldiers), the man o war people come to drill you,you stretch your bones with exercise.Information are passed,by 8am or so you go for breakfast.Afterwards you go for any programme outlined in the handbook given to you.
Asaya can be extremely cold in the morning, try go with a sweater, preferrrably White. Also try buy enough white shorts and vests, you may not been given your size
For your jungle boots,if given inappropriate size, you can always get someone to exchange with.
You will be given a white tennis too,but it's advisable to get the rubber one before going to camp. You will be too busy to wash the one you will be given, for the rubber tennis it's so easy to wash.

The only free day in camp is Sunday.
Ooh I almost forgot, the Camp food.you would ve been given a meal card during reg.Meals are served thrice in a day from the kitchen. The meal card get ticked as you get each meal. The camp kitchen food is okay varies from akara and pap to porridge to jollof rice to yam n stew, tuwo, semo, eba and so on.
The Maami market is opened till 10pm,you can go eat there. Not all foods are good at maami too,so watch what you eat.

OK, thanks. I have more question ooo, sorry I am asking in batches, it is as they come to mind that I ask.
Pls is there ATM at the Camp or close to the camp?
This will help us on the amount of cash to hold at hand.
Thanks so much for your prompt responses

There is no ATM in camp. There is a first bank in Kabba (where the camp is located),but you might not have access to go out of camp, since you will need to get permit to leave camp.
Then there are Guys in the maami market who makes use of the POS machine for 10% of any amount you withdraw, but while I was in camp, they increased it to 15% during the last week in camp.

My advice is this, try get enough cash as you can. There is a high probability you might not be broke in camp, provided you spend your money well.Incase you wouldn't be going with much cash, try eating once in a while from the Camp kitchen and maami too. That way,u won't be spending much money on food.
You will be given 1000 will be given to you as part of your transport fee.I think by the first week.
You will be given 1500 as balance of your transport allowance.
Then, you should be paid your first allawee (19800)in camp by third week.

Hi corps members,

How has service year been? You will succeed.

As a current 'corper' it is very important that you arm yourself with a professional CV which will give you an edge during recruitment exercises.

You can apply for jobs while still serving as you don't have to wait till service year is over before you begin to apply for jobs.

It doesn't matter if you have no previous work experience, a professional CV can still be crafted for you.

Visit this link >> https://www.nairaland.com/1802532/professional-cv-rewrite-corps-members << to read why you need a professional CV and also the testimonials of people right here on Nairaland that I have crafted professional CVs for.

You can reach me on whatsapp - 08144303049, BBM - 2B6A257E or Call 08098086797.

I am your choice for crafting professional CVs that give you an edge during recruitment exercises.

Thanks.
