Donlittle:Teams in the east are weak. But the detroit we swept beat thunders and gsw and blazers in regular season.against blazer was 123_103, against thunders was 88_82 against warriors was 113_95, lol I remember that was the night they retired ben wallace jersey, lol maybe wallace spirit got into them The same hawks we swept beat thunders 104_95 in reg season, they beat portland 104_98.. They need this playoffs more than the regular season against the strong teams In the west.. But the got the sweep from cavs Eastern teams aint weak. Ppl just dnt sipport teams there. Ppl are more into western teams. Forget about basketball god or no basketball god. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by SIRcumalot: 3:09pm On May 20, 2016 |
A40:Heart ? Why heart no help the clippers when Blake and cp3 got injured. So if curry no injure, the blazers go win one game for that series? Never said it was surprised but if the hawks can't beat the cavs once in the post season it isn't the blazers that will do it. Who has the homecourt advantage now? Between the thunder and the warriors. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 3:12pm On May 20, 2016 |
lolawilliams:Mam, are they weak or are they not? The west is not going to win everygame against the east. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by lolawilliams(f): 3:15pm On May 20, 2016 |
SmooshCHN:I get it.. But gsw that had the best series in regular season, 10_0 in playoffs shldnt be a big deal to them if they are determined, but you cldnt vn sweep the easiest team in your westetn playoffs rockets, and I can as well ask you why did the okc we swept in regular season had the chance to win a game in playoffs against you |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 3:21pm On May 20, 2016 |
lolawilliams:Would cleveland get past anyone in the east if lebron goes down? Still though, the west is not a chicken conference. Boys would compete. Its all we ask for, competition. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by lolawilliams(f): 3:24pm On May 20, 2016 |
Donlittle:They're not weak, they only strong team in the west are gsw and spurs. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 3:26pm On May 20, 2016 |
SIRcumalot:Because they lacked it. The Blazers lost 4 of their starters this year. 4!! They still made the playoffs anyway so that tells you they have heart Yes. There is nothing suggesting the Blazers wouldn't win at least 1 game. Abi na all the games Curry play Warriors dey win? Blazers will beat the Cavs at least once. If they could beat the Warriors they would beat the Cavs Lool OKC don't have any advantage if they don't win both games. Asking who has any advantage after Game 2 is premature |
| Re: The NBA Begins by lolawilliams(f): 3:27pm On May 20, 2016 |
Donlittle:we will surely get past them, just that the sweep might not be possible... It took you 6 games to defeat us in last year's finals even when irvinge nd klove were out |
| Re: The NBA Begins by lolawilliams(f): 3:32pm On May 20, 2016 |
A40:If they had played the same numbers of games.. You should know they wont loose just 3times |
| Re: The NBA Begins by SIRcumalot: 3:33pm On May 20, 2016*. Modified: 3:56pm On May 20, 2016 |
Eruditor:So their coach who just last season won coach of the season isn't a plus? forget that they are the 2nd best defensive team in the league? outside of dame or CJ who dey Portland ? Hawks still have hoford and milsap on that roster. They won a game on their home court against a good but not great team that was how good it was going to get before the injuries bro. I could flip that question on its head and ask how will dame defender Kyrie? Because if OkC take care of business at home like the warriors should have, and warriors take game 5. The potential elimination game is at Oklahoma. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by SmooshCHN: 3:35pm On May 20, 2016 |
lolawilliams:You just keep arguing One team is better than the other.. Because you beat a team in regular season doesn't mean another team can't sweep them. Cos even Miami who finished Cavs in regular season couldn't beat Raptors. No doubt the Cavs dominated the East but what we're saying Do you think Sweeping the East guarantees you beating GSW of 3-0 in regular season? |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 3:37pm On May 20, 2016 |
lolawilliams:see your mail. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by lolawilliams(f): 3:45pm On May 20, 2016 |
SmooshCHN:cavs are on a whole nother level, we might just use that on you in finals also.. Regular season is already gone. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by lolawilliams(f): 3:46pm On May 20, 2016 |
CFCman:Alright |
| Re: The NBA Begins by SIRcumalot: 3:52pm On May 20, 2016 |
A40:it tells me the bottom half of the west has dropped in quality not this heart wey nobody fit quantify playing two games in front of your home crowd isn't an advantage to the home team. why even play for seeding then? because your guys blew Their chance to go up by two doesn't mean home court advantage is now useless mehn. blazers beat a curryless warrior twice doesn't mean they won't get swept by a full strength cavs team. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by SmooshCHN: 4:26pm On May 20, 2016 |
lolawilliams:Nice joke ![]() |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 4:53pm On May 20, 2016 |
SIRcumalot:That's how you opt to interpret it. They could have easily decided to tank and play for a lottery ball. They didn't! They competed and it showed in their record beating both Cleveland and the Warriors at home You can't be talking about advantage between two equally matched teams like these. Especially when Golden State is involved. They have won at least 1 road game in the past 6 series so I don't see how you can talk of advantage to OKC till they win both games. Curry played the regular season game where Lillard dropped 51. If the Blazers can drop 137 pts on the defending champs. Who born Cavs? |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 5:00pm On May 20, 2016 |
lolawilliams:This is moot. We can only work with the fact that no team among the East's top 4 beat the Warriors and they beat every single team in the East lolawilliams:Cavs cannot beat Rockets without LeBron |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 5:02pm On May 20, 2016 |
As for who is the stronger conference just look at the title count and even all-star game results over the last 10 to 15 years. Their lies the answer |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 5:06pm On May 20, 2016 |
lolawilliams:The same Detroit beat the Cavs 2 times in the regular season and the so-called worst team in the WC Play offs (Rockets) beat your Cleveland. You can't judge purely on results in the regular season but based on the match ups and style of play. |

![]() Interesting read leleyi sha, dang! Spent like 2 hours reading em posts. Hope y'all been balling ![]() Good to be back hommies |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 5:10pm On May 20, 2016 |
lolawilliams:Kyrie and Love out is the only reason the series lasted 6 games. With them in it most likely would have been a sweep. Kyrie on Curry is Barbecue chicken for Curry. Green would have made light work of Love. You have to think about the match-ups don't get fixated on PPGs. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by SmooshCHN: 5:12pm On May 20, 2016 |
So you mean Cavs would've swept Spurs, Portland, Clippers, Mavs OR even win in 5?? The West is no joke.. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by SmooshCHN: 5:15pm On May 20, 2016 |
Eruditor:that's another factor to consider. joephemzyz:Welcome back.. Where have you been?? |
| Re: The NBA Begins by lolawilliams(f): 5:17pm On May 20, 2016 |
Eruditor:We won one of it against rockets 91_77 ![]() we swept pistons in playoffs already. So im unbothered bout the reg season win ![]() |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 5:20pm On May 20, 2016 |
SIRcumalot:2nd best defence is when NBA says a team conceded an average of 98ppg so they are the 2nd best. That's lazy analysis. GSW play fast-ball and have 100 possessions per game and averaged more than 115pts a game so that they conceded 102 a game is not a big deal. Some other analysis will say they don't defend well, but when 100 possessions is considered ATLs average will increase and the ranking will drop. Horford and Milsap are not the matchups. Will they put them on Lilliard? He will score points for fun. They will most likely put the guards on him and that is why I mentioned the guards. You saying that was how good PTB were going to be is neither here nor there. I didn't say they will KO Cleveland, I said they won't be swept. Dame won't care so much about defending Kyrie because he is a better scorer than Kyrie and his defending is still better. He shoots better than Kyrie, has better range and possibly less TOs. Kyrie has better handling but Dame will drop more points so the matchup favors PTB. For OKC to take care of business ahome they will have to beat GSW back-to- back. Lol. I had to laugh to that. It is the tallest task in the NBA this season and probability says, it won't happen. So again, No, OKC have no advantage and they know it. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 5:26pm On May 20, 2016 |
lolawilliams:That's the point you should take. That matchups determine most of what will transpire. All the Pistons games in the P/Os were close games that could have swung any way and the Pistons don't shoot well as a team. 91-77 is just 14 pts. Your team blew a 20pt lead at Ohio to lose 106-100 to the lowly Rockets. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by lolawilliams(f): 5:29pm On May 20, 2016*. Modified: 6:11pm On May 20, 2016 |
A40:All star game doesnt count.. All they do is just joke on the court. Thats not a serious game.. Mayb the title.. I just checked and I notice wester conf took more rings than the eastern conference. And its just 2 teams that have been winning the title since 2000, lakers, spur, dallas nd gsw won just once... While eastern had 3 pistons, celtics nd miami, so no much diff... but I dnt think title is a way of know a better conf Despite the east is a weak conference... We are looking here a different cavs team. It's no surprise if they win a ring this year |
| Re: The NBA Begins by SmooshCHN: 5:32pm On May 20, 2016 |
So Are The Cavaliers This Good Or Are The Raptors This Bad? |
| Re: The NBA Begins by SmooshCHN: 5:43pm On May 20, 2016 |
Eruditor:Not until you mentioned it. I think this Raptors series has been more of a matchup nightmare for Toronto coupled with missing shots.. Look at it critically |
| Re: The NBA Begins by lolawilliams(f): 5:47pm On May 20, 2016 |
Eruditor:You just said pistons dont shoot well as a team and they beat you in reg season, the hook is cavs got a great defense... Remember the comeback for okc within 90sec in game 1 against gsw in playoffs to win 108_102 combacks are meant to happen.. You call rockets lowly?? What do we call bucks that beat you in reg season then? |
| Re: The NBA Begins by SIRcumalot: 5:57pm On May 20, 2016*. Modified: 6:14pm On May 20, 2016 |
Eruditor:Firstly, I never said milsap or hoford will guard dame I don't know where you got that from. Is there any big on the blazers that can match those two was what I implied Kyrie is just as good a scorer and they both are bad defenders, saying dame is a better defender isn't saying much. All this doesn't make the statics wrong DER says the hawks are the 2nd best in the league I believed it same way I accepted It when the warriors where the best defensive team in the league last season despite high scoring,no reason it should change now. Yeah it is the toughest task in the league but not impossible they (already knocked off an historical great team so it nothing new)especially when you're doing it at home and you've two of the top 5 players in your team. |
