A three storey building collapsed at the permanent site of Federal Polytechnic Oko, Amaokpala, Anambra State, today Monday 23 May, 2016, at about 8:45 am. According to eye witnesses, they started hearing funny cracking sounds from a part of the building, and in less that 10 minutes, the building was flat on the ground.. The NEMA team was there in no time to rescue the situation.

As at now, there is no accurate number of casualties, but will update once a concrete information is received. Meanwhile some of the injured are receiving treatments at various hospitals. More pictures below...

Collapsing of building should solely be blamed on the contractors not the owner because I don't think someone will make money and try to waste it just like that.Some will say the owner used it for rituals.I know why I'm saying this.
