When i saw this thread,what came to my mind was enugu m wasnt disappointed as enugu feel everywhere.my kind of job makes me travel alot n whenever i see enugu on my list i jump up cos im going to rest well n have couple of original ukpa meal dont know d name in english.wawa kwanu nkanu kwanu udi,nsukka kwazuonu.anambra dey happy too.but for someone to say lagos may God or allah forgive u cuz nobody smile in lagos.there faces no dey give joy,but ibadan area dey ok

1 thing i like about calabar is the residents knows already that the state CRS is not a big money state since the time of Gov.Donald Duke so no point vexin' & they contented as long as the govt. Delivers dividends, Provides the serene enabling environment for biz, good roads network, less traffic within the city, streetlite glow at nite to support niteLife. steady power & water supply, no matter how bad the economy, an average calabar resident must hangout with family & friends, nite clubs, lounge, decent eatries, beer joints must full to capacity almost on a daily basis, sometimes i wonder where dem get the money from.

Uyo: normal daily hustlin' same as calabar, but nitelife is on a decline compare to when 4ma Gov. Akpabio was around
But wedding must happen every week. Even if na low key.
Lagos residents shud b hapi cos their hustle no be here thereby making daily money. Bulk of Money in naija is circulated in Lasgidi

Owerri residents too are tryin' & the city offers them varieties to make them happy.

Op u shud have asked for about 5 or 6 cities out of over 30 cities in Naija

Mehn my forefathers will not forgive me if i do not let out my favorites. I have come to discover dat good product sells its self anytime anywhere.

I stay in Abuja but u can't just not love Enugu if u ve been there. . Clean, peaceful, considerable cost of living and all.

I was born bred and buttered in Lagos and lived there for nearly 3 decades, have travelled to all 6 geopolitical zones, been to a couple of cities in naija this is my pick.

Firstly, I dont think the op is asking for the most beautiful or livable city but the city with the happiest people.

I'll start from the bottom :

3. Maiduguri, yes I said it... I don't how much of the happiness boko haram has taken from the city but it sure is a jolly place. Ask Nigerian breweries, their highest sales in Nigeria surprisingly is from this city.

2. Enugu, how I wish I can place this city in top spot. Aside the very endearing ambience of this city, Enugu is a fun place and they have no apologies for it. The former governor Sullivan Chime at a point was nicknamed the 'Oringo' governor because of his party lifestyle. It isnt a surprise at all that almost all the top SE musical artists came from this city.
And oh, let me add that Enugu has the largest brewery in west Africa owned by Nigeria breweries

1. If you are the travelling type, then you will agree with me that Owerri is the capital of jolly jolly in Nigeria. Ask the guy living in PH and he'll tell you where they spends this weekends.
Owerri has it all from joints to lounges to cute light skinned chics and oh yes hotels, I dont know of any other city that has more hotels than Owerri and they all get fully booked by Thursday week on week.
The amount of money spent in joints in Owerri is unimaginable.

Fact, one of the best decisions I've taken was relocating from Lagos to Owerri. The city is filled with fun. I also love Enugu & Calaber. Abuja is also fun to live in but its an exclusive city enjoyed by 10% of its residents while the rest live in dusty satelite towns. I wonder how people live & grow old in Lagos, the city is just a stressful urban jungle!

everybody works hard anywhere they are not only in Abuja ok.. but where you have majority of its so called residents living at its outskirts but forming Abuja people, rationing food, using up all their live savings to pay house rents and drive cool cars just to keep up, while most are jobless and everybody is chasing contract all over the place. is that what you call happy?
And yes I've lived Inside Abuja, with my cousin and I still go there often.

Ilorin folks are not happy. They are just comfortable. I lived in Ilorin 4rm early 2010 to late 2015 so believe me bro I know what I am talking of.

Abuja !!!!!!! The major category of people that are happy in Abuja are politicians.

Enugu. Now that is a happy city with lots of happy people.

People in the East are generally happy and peaceful people.
Most of our state capitals are epic center of peace and happiness.
1. Enugu takes the number one spot for me. Well structured,good transportation system,warm and friendly residents-everyone is eager to help you, good sewage system,schools,market,churches at strategic position,low cost of living etc. If you want to raise kids with ease,that's the best place for that.
2. Owerri - Ebe Ana Ekpori Ndu. Omg! If you've made money,that the best place to spend it and people come from all sorts of places to spend their weekends and money in Owerri.
Assorted joints, shops, supermarkets,resturants,hotels,schools,active night life,churches,banks,good social amenities,finest Girls in Nigeria lol etc.
That's the hospitality city of the East and Nigeria to an extent,residents are cool,receptive ,peaceful and always ready to have fun.
Rochas is trying to spoil the happiness,but he wouldn't succeed.

3. Umuahia is also calm but not as fun and happy as Enugu and Owerri.
