Y did He not go to: NCCF lodge, Local govt lodge, or at worst write a letter to the DG.

There are 101 places for Him to sleep. Sleeping on the bridge is exceedingly weird.

This stunt is political jare.

And what made you think, he didn't try any of those options?

Your conclusions made it look as if, when the choice of where to spend the night came to his mind, his first and only thought was the bridge.

BTW, if one write a letter to the DG, will they respond and provide the temporary accommodation same day before night fall?

I know u are just playing pranks on d gullible pipl but stop denting d image of Abuja in d name of whatever you have in mind or may be you are one of those dumb graduates embarrassing d nation with ur poor mentality.

This is one of the reason I don't like corpers, even though I was once one.
In the first place you picked to be posted to abj without having the means(looking for connection abi)
You can't tell me you didn't have any friend in camp, who can be of help after camp.
This guy is just looking for a means for one politician,to pick him up,from now,you will see many others emulating him.
Please youths or corpers we need to grow up.
And again its not by force to serve in abjnat the end you will be suffering yourself

[b]I have Said it before and i will say it over again..

''NYSC is a stupid and clueless scheme''

I see no reason why i should struggle to get an education from infantry to adulthood for more than 20 years, The University alone is a hell of work from looking for admission, facing hardship and survival with Financial problems coming from a poor background, Social problems (cultism), Educational problems and stress from the school, Lecturers, ASUU with numerous strikes and all the bad learning infrastructures only to come out to another struggle of getting your result, documents.

And then, Another wasted time waiting on NYSC, Another wasted 1 extra year in NYSC doing what exactly? Is it the girls and boys who go there to engage in all sorts of immoralities in camp, hardship or the irregularities going on... What is it exactly?

The Most f_ucked up part is after serving the acclaimed fatherland, you will then realise your life just started as you might not be lucky to be rich or connected to secure a Job with security...

Go to the Streets in Nigeria and find out what graduates are going through.. Is this a country or HELL? Why are we suffering and smiling?

Well, i can blame the youths for this too, all we do is talk, write, complain, no action.. Infact, they enjoy the immoralities and the Corper priorities,

I totally concur as for very obvious reasons the program has outlive its usefulness and should be revamp or scrapped all together.
There is no sense in asking someone to serve a country for one year with no provision for survival other than the monthly stipend which can not sustain the average nysc participant for a month on feeding alone. Talk more of Housing and Transportation plus other necessities.

Na by force to be a corper? If you dont want the stress involved, you can as well opt out by applying for exemption from the scheme. You will be given a certificate of exemption. And we must know as well, that one of the essences of the scheme, is to toughen the Nigerian graduate to be able to withstand the challenges of life lying ahead of him. If you must serve, then we must be prepared to withstand the hurdles that come with it. To me, NYSC is not a tea party, particularly for the frail minds.

Abuja residents are friendly people, why not make sharp sharp friend?

We went to school not to obtain certificate. Rather to enlighten our minds!

This guy really shows he can't survive on the streets!

He has pneumonia and he is sleeping on the road, why?

Honestly, I think his inter-personal relationship skill is lacking and he won't be a good problem solver as well!

Looks like publicity stunts!

No matter what he is passing through, dejectedly sleeping on the road is total nonsense!

10q o I was posted to gwarinpa still looking for accommodation. I just left the place to rest my head in Lagos. Hoping to get accommodation free o cos it's expensive there.the search can be annoying much more rejection it just makes one blank.

The almighty will surely accelerate the journey to hell of anyone, whose responsibility it is to provide accommodation for corps members serving in each state of the country. Accommodation and other monetary benefits are captured aback every call up letter, but never implemented.Although some state do have corpers lodge, but why would a whole FCT AMAC not have any?yet there is excessive abandonment of empty houses, especially in that gwarinpa area.why hasn't the government mark out at least one in AMAC?
shame!

This corper will grow to go great guns by the grace of the almighty, and he will remind this ordeal so that the ones in government that had failed him now, would be shamed later, when they are retired and broke! angry angry

You need not to tell for one to know that, there are better ways to air your opinion without sounding the way up there. I spent 8 years to get just a B.Sc., 80% of those who we started together n finished before me are still in the same situation after their NYSC, I'm married now and living without regret. Finally, I'm just serving now and was among the corp member at the just concluded Orientation camp here in Abuja,

So, because I'm lucky to hustle my way and get the things I need & want doesn't mean I talk about my colleague that are still struggling anyhow.

No sir. I think something else is wrong with that guy. A graduate of a Nigerian University or Poly should know how to hustle his way around in a town that you have people and not spirits living there. He did not even consider going to a nearby Church or Mosque to explain his predicament? Haba!
