kenonze:Just pray these things don't happen because you won't be able to come to NL to air your view. If the President didn't go to Ogoniland as planned before now because of the threat devoid of any excuse the government might give then we should all be scared. If he went and they made good their threat, by now there wouldn't be any country anymore because a full blown civil war would have started already. Let's just pray the Fed Govt. And the avengers meet halfway for peace to reign and everybody can be happy and not feel cheated. |

rottennaija:Absolute rubbish There a battle hardened 7th division and numerous COIN capabilities. I would be a serious mistake to underestimate the fighting capabilities of the NA. Traditionally they are slow starters but they ramp up very quickly. Thev NN and NA have been significantly equipped and the NAF is being significantly upgraded on a ungoing basis. Wars are won by soldiers who have faced the attrition of battle. For For first time since 1985, we now have that type of group. This piece is simply to impress the populace. No one goes into this amount of description knowing well that NAF has high altitude ATR aircraft that can see individuals on ,ground ( day and night) at 20,000 feet, well outside the canopy of shoulder held anti aircraft missiles. Bombast for simple minds. |

Na so it dey take start o. Nigerian government may not take this people serious and address whatever is bone of contention. Some people here will be making fun of them. All these threats are not good for Nigeria now. What about if they make good their threats? What about if they are really ready for show down with the Nigerian ill equipped military? We should not joke over grievous issues like this. Nobody ever thought Charles Taylor will cause such painful civil war in Liberia. Remember Burundi, DRC, Rwanda etc. It started like play like play. It was their elites that caused those wars. What would remain of Nigeria if another gorilla war begins in Niger Delta coupled with Boko Haram in the North and the protesters in the SE and SS? We need to be very careful. |

] finally the ban on my profile gets lifted. ...all thanks to the demigods of nairaland. Now to the topic...if, by hook or crook, these people release any missile into Nigeria's airspace, then I'm afraid-Nigeria will surely usher in an African 'Spring.' I would that the government accepts and implements the resolutions on the confab. |

mindtricks:That's human nature for you and greed. And it always counter-productive on the long run. It's how a lot of folks would rather scrounge for meagre handouts - rather than get a job and earn far more, while improving their self-development in the process. Everyone wants to share the oil proceeds from that region and despite sharing it for over four decades at the expense of the owners, the whole country has stagnated for over four decades, with no developments whatsoever, while raising two generations of lazy people/thinkers. So what is the point? If they had done the right thing from the get-go - other places would have found ways to create wealth and the country's economy would be far more diversified right now due to the competitive nature of human beings. You don't even have to turn every oil producing state into Abuja or maybe even Lagos...just target the oil producing communities in each state and make the host communities sharing their wealth with you happy. Itsekiris in Delta for example can be more than 500,000 in population and they produce a large percentage of the oil and gas in that state...it shouldn't be that difficult to fix that meagre population and their communities. Replicate the same thing in all oil producing communities in all the other states and make them happy. Once you do that - they won't complain that much. I believe those who are even benefiting the most from whatever meagre derivative they are giving them now are people who happen to be from the same state but don't even produce one drop of oil in their communities. They just need to keep hoping these people don't discover the IRA tactics in guerrilla warfare cos if they ever do, Abuja won't be safe for the naij president. IRA put fear in everyone when they were around with their brazen bombings. They will tell you before hand that they will bomb a place in London and give the time and, the bomb will go off at the time they gave. They bombed everywhere including heavily fortified and protected Mi6 building in Vauxhall and they had to placate them with negotiations and a lot of concessions. The human right activist that was killed Saro Wiwa's daughter is a contributor on the Guardian UK and I read her articles all the time. And there are crazy documentaries all over YouTube about how messed up those people are, despite feeding the whole country. How these have survived this long with how fbcked up the oil producing communities are, especially the riverine ones - is still a mystery to me. Then again, black people have a natural way of adapting to hardship. |

rottennaija:You never see anything. When we were insisting that Buhari must never be allowed to replace Jonathan, you think we were playing abi? And when it happened, instead of Buhari to apply tact and wisdom to mend fences and build bridges, he blatantly called our bluff and set about pursuing his Northern agenda and fouling the entire atmosphere in the name of war against kwarapshun. It was only a matter of time before the boys activated their beast mode. Now, the die is cast. |

greenpasture:Lie! Disprove the claim that they put out the surveillance mechanism put in place by the Nigeria military. If that facility was still working, the Wednesday attack on chevron installations wouldn't have happened. People that can do that , are capable of anything. Let's not underrate them because of our love for crude oil. |

perryy:Let me educate you. There is a big difference between blowing up a pipe in the middle of nowhere and arming up a shoulder held SAM. Clue. Any SAM emits it's own radar signature/ trace for a period of time. Meanwhile these are in the air waiting for a sniff. I will leave it at that.

deadkiss:Take Note of; 1. After extensive and exhaustive deliberation by all Commanders of various groups in Yenagoa, the heart of the Niger Delta struggle met last night and as part of our mission, we are going to test six (6) of our MISSILES in the region. This is to show the federal government of our readiness of the American prediction. I have been saying it that American govt is the covert sponsor of every form of terrorism in Nigeria. AMERICA gave the prediction and they are doing everything possible to make sure their Prediction comes to pass. Fellow Nigerians! Do the arithmetic. Also Take Note; 6. Our Fighter Expert Team shall be position in the six (6) Niger Delta states, who are already arrived the region from training through our country’s porous borders with our foreign partners who are going to showcase what they have learnt in past on year. American govt is their foreign partner. American govt gave a prediction of civil war that failed(Plan A). Everything we are seeing today is America's Plan B. AMERICA IS OUR ENEMY. They promise to help us fight terrorism but they are actually the ones funding, sponsoring and supplying weapons, Drones Surveillance and real-time technological supports to the enemy AN ALL-OUT CIVIL WAR IS AMERICA'S GRAND PLAN IN NIGERIA, AS A JUSTIFICATION FOR THEIR MILITARY INVASION ON OUR SOIL. AMERICA IS REPEATING WHAT THEY DID IN LIBYA & IRAQ. O' LORD GOD OF HEAVEN, COME SAVE US IN YOUR INFINITE MERCY. |

Hear yourself, you want us to 'unite against the Americans", On what grounds? Why should I a NDeltan unite with your hateful murderous fulani against any threat whatsoever? greenpasture:Leave then now! Dont advise them on anything. The fact that the Nigerian Govt is still treating them with kids glove, so that the international community will not accuse it of high-handedness, is making them feel like King Kong! I tell you, everyone in the International community is saying why is the Nigerian Govt allowing these CRIMINALS to ruin the country.... and before long, the Govt will seize the "moral" high-ground and do the needful. I just pity the innocent, illiterate citizens who dont know jack and will be used as human shield. They better relocate before its too late. We will carpet-bomb the oil facilities and the Avengers into smithereens. Dont test the WILL of an Old man who has nothing to lose. ![]() Lastpage! |
