dh and I finally kpekused this morning after several failed attempts last night. Mins later,i felt lo's turning/looking for space abi contraction,it was accompanied with little abdomenial pain and little pressure in the anus.
It is not regular at all but i felt it almost all day. Each time the belly stifens,i feel the pressure in the anus.

Nb:i ve felt abdomenial pain/cramp sometimes last sunday and didnt last and was not accompanied with this anus pressure.

Mamas,what is this?

Its normal. Your womb is contracting and going back to its position. Sometimes the contraction comes weeks after delivery. Hugs. You will be fine.

Last night was terrible. I'm just 34 weeks. I was having severe abdominal pain that comes and goes like contraction but i feel its not contraction because my stomach doesn't get hard and tight. I only feel very strong pain at the lowest part of my stomach and immediately the pain subsides, i let out gas. After some minutes the excrutiating pain comes again and i tried timing it but the timing is very very irregular.
I tried to call my doc but his phone was switched off. I couldnt go to the hospital cus mechanic is working on our car and apart from that, the doc that will be on duty is not an obgyn and is fond of giving wrong prescription.
The pain is just confusing. But when i laid down to sleep, it stopped.
Anyone has an idea what could be wrong?

When the baby is on its way out,the head puts pressure on the rectum ( anus) and gives us a strong urge to poo.
You have to time it to know of it was regular or not. You cant know unless you time. Even if it is every one hour.
Have you tried those tips up there?
And true to what Tchwinnie said, you may be having a painless delivery o!

Kpekusing is a herculean task for me.but i try sha. From the tips above,d one i am consistence with is walking exercise,i ve also danced once.

As a newly wed, learn to observe for a long time before acting....as in it saves you a lot of headache in the long run.
There are 2 sides to this:
1. She might be wary of being too forward with you. Like me, I dont give people's children food. If they come to play with my kids, nope. Cos I am afraid, what if they purge? What if they vomit? What if the mother has this strong African mentality of switching destinies? What if their mom beats them cos they ate in my house? And I'm sure their mamas will be like .....that Zaynie sef, she no dey give una food. But as soon as I get a clear from.their parents, no leles.

2.What if she cooks for you and expects you to worship her for that? My SiL can help to the core but she is also very rude and saucy, when I could no longer condone that rudeness, I had to stop her from helping me out. And the rudeness reduced.
My late MiL will not help/ give buy she will not disturb you.

So you can go ahead and ask Mama, " Mama abeg cook soup when you are coming o, I dont have strength to cook/ my food makes me nauseous, hoping that she takes a hint.
Or you just continue to rugged it, afterall in a few months, pregnancy will be over and you will be fine.

@Mitchyy: Mama there is nothing to worry about. Just ensure u get enough rest. If possible, kindly stay in bed. I had similar exp ard week 33 too. DH was so scared in my own case.

Pele dear. When I had exactly what you described I called my doctor and he said it was indigestion and prescribed Gascol...I took it and it stopped.

But please check with your doctor first cos I was just about 20 weeks then.

@ Lovinam pls, is dere any way 2 reduce dat after delivery pain. I dint experience it wit my first bt wit my gal, it came on during breastfeeding n it was wen I read about it, I saw d belle is contracting. Dat pain was terrible n I read it gets worse wit subsequent kids. Though I dint know wen it later subsided. But is dere a way 2 prevent it or a medication 2 reduce d pain? Cos d 1st time it hapnd, I almost dropped my baby in my rush 2 put her down. Sorry 4 my long tory bt I'm really not looking 4wrd 2 dat pain. Tank u.

Yes your uterus contracts after delivery to get to shape.
It usually happens when you are breastfeeding.
It is very painful, can be eye- turning for some, but usually it is bearable.
You dont need drugs for it cos your uterus NEEDS to contract so all things can go back to normal position and the left over blood can come out.
Some have even dropped babies cos it came on suddenly.
It shouldnt be a consistent pain. It comes and goes.
If it is consistent, you might want to see your Dr, considering your delivery was rough.

My dear, I'm not sure anything can be done to prevent it. I spoke to my doctor about it and she said it was a normal stuff. My mum told me that I should place hot water bag on my waist when It starts. It gave temp relief sha. Its not a nice pain at all. I handle it like labour (breathing technique). Mine also happens during breastfeeding.

OMG! You guys shouldn't remind me of that after pain. That thing na 2nd labour pain. I dreaded breastfeeding and indeed it gets worse with subsequent births. Dr had to give me voltaren suppository but it did nothing.
