Present ma...

Vomiting has subsided but still have a lot of body pains when I wake up each morning... I still can't eat fish or meat... #frowns

#teamDecember4SupernaturalDelivery

Sorry about the body pains, I'm a FTM myself so still learning. Could it be the position with which you sleep? Other sabi mamas can give a clue. You are not alone with the fish and meat aversion, I just try to eat boiled egg white to make up for the animal protein I can't eat for now. I guess it's all part of the package

@ Akorkor, slowly we will get there

Let's be more active here so as not to be labelled "dulling mamas" smiley

Me I tap into 8 weeks to go ministry ooo because the way this my bump have big errrh....I just tire for am sef. I need this baby out early enough
We expect increased vaginal discharge in this trimester. But check to ensure it is odourless. Risk of infection is higher in this trimester than others so top up on personal hygiene. Some first trimester symptoms may also return for some people such as tiredness, frequent urinating, headches etc. Drink water more and more...but the toilet will be your friend ooo because of urine. Back pains and waist pains too will be our friend.

Am 30 weeks +4days today....Am happy. Waist pain and backache is my middle name now oo. I can now urinate for Africa too. Somedays, baby decides to rest on bladder abi pelvis making walking a really huge task embarassed embarassed embarassed I walk and pause ....
My bump is also getting too big for my liking. People already saying am carrying a twin. Am trying to cut down meals to just 2times a day(so help me God) . I have done about 65percent shopping. Trusting in God for resources to do the remaining 35percent or so. I would love to start washing babies clothes too so I can start ironing gradually angry cry cry cry(I hate ironing soooooo much) . Still not kpekpusing enough ooo (libido missing)...but I will really need to put effort to increase frequency to at least 2times a week for now while I see how I can increase it more later as the week progresses. I would love to have baby before EDD o ooo at least a week to EDD if not 2weeks to....

Please come in - and share your own experience. ..what is it like for you We love to read from you...

Safe delivery to ALL JUNE mama's. Though it's seems most of them go born towards month end ooo as till now no birth announcement from any of them !!

Present oooo. I dey plenty hia but na peeping mode.
Our able mamas i greet una well well o

tipsyjules, what a terrible experience.

but please for the sake of your husband, try forget the past. I know it is not easy, God will make it easy for you.

when you put to bed, try to see it as a fresh start. just as you believe that there is where your healing is. have a clear mind set and believe that you will be healed.

don't buy the tommy tippee. The space in it is limited. It can only take just 6 bottles (their brand). Waste of space and the plug needs special adaptors. I had to discard mine when baby refused to suck from tommy tippee bottles

Tips for Muslim Pushing Mamas and other Muslims who want to.complete the Quran in this holy Month. they are tips I tried and their worked for me.

1) my Quran has 602 pages which I divided into 28 days (I didn't start from.day 1). this gave me.21.5 pages approximately 22 pages a day.

2) try to recite 4/5 pages after each salat

3) if you don't drive, you may read in the car or bus if it is convenient. I live in Ikorodu my office is at Apapa, I was able to.complete 22 pages before I got to the office this morning, the hold up was crazy.

4) you may recite when you are less busy at work, home,

5) you may recite while waiting for your turn if you are on a queue.

6) you may buy Quran recitation CDs if you don't have your Quran close by, you play it on your computer system.

6) those are the tips that I can remember.

7) feel free to add yours.

May Allah make it easy for us all and accept our acts as an act of ibadah.

Have you never met the inlaws before?

Im Igbo, DH is yoruba. One of the first times I met his aunties I hugged them cry cry cry The talk that followed eh you would think I slapped someborry. My DH sha gave them a stern warning to always remember our tribal differences. Since then my dear, I kneel (first then hug) to greet everyone even my own people grin grin so I dont make mistake.
So my own list,
-Always kneel down to greet.
-If you sabi the language, you are lucky. I understand but I dont speak..well except for greetings.
Make sure you always greet..Eku joko, Eku ile, Eku dide, Eku iyagbe grin
-I don't know if the igbos do this as well, but when you go visiting always offer to help in the kitchen. Do igbos do this Personally my kitchen is my private space, I usually dont like other people being in it so I find it awkward going into people's kitchens. But I have learnt to always offer to help.

Hey mamas!
Hbd to Feddy27, Jennykoko3009, Udoomama and Fruitfulvine360, I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness.

HWA to Esof1 and Feddy....bliss....bliss....bliss all the way!

Welcome Joyfulmoda, have a healthy and fruitful pregnancy.

Bolseas, comeover to the other thread so we dont derail.

Akorkor, that's the way to go wink....see Enkaydewdrop registered like 2 months ago, you see how she take popular so? I know not everypne can be extroverted like that buh then....make an effort..... kiss

Luscioustrish, most MiL and SiL aren't the problem in Yorubaland at the beginning, its usually the BiL, AiL and SiL or even fellow DiL that always has the 'ish' that will start the bigger ish.
-Be courteous, everybody likes courtesy.
-Be friendly, nobody likes to be snobbed. But dont go overboard. A smile, comment or funny question. "daddy, when did you take this picture?'...." this hair really suits you here".....
- you only need to call your dh's younger ones "sis X" or "brother Y" of they are older than you. Or if they specifically ask you to. We tend to pardon non-Yorubas easily.
- make an effort to learn the greeting at least. Even if you botch it, they will remember it with fondness.
- Don't feel bad if they dont warm up to you immediately. Just give them time.
- Don't buy anything!!!!!!!!! Not even a string of thread, you can buy fruits sha.
In a typical Yoruba setting, a wife to be has no business cozing up, she should return home with goodies sef. Until you enter and become a true DiL, desist from this please. And if you must, make it simple and tasteful.
I know someborri whose FiL always call for recharge card. Infact to speak to him, you must first send recharge card and then call him. cheesy
- Be you. I have several aunts; proudAuntyNike, niceAuntyBintu, coolAuntyMudha, friendlyAuntyFali, crazyAuntyDayo and LazyAuntyNkechi.....all married to my uncles. We love them and always stand up for them. We are never disrespectful or rude, na only that Dayo we almost beat the day she abuse Momcy and as she dey run from us she fall inside gutter, na em we begin laff am sef.
Goodluck.
