If u complete d 5doses, u r covered 4 life. D last 2 is one yr apart so even in subsequent pregnancies u don't av 2 take all if u ffg tru. But if u miss nyone like me, u start all ova again wen u get pregnant again.

@ enkaydewdrop, sorry 4 d pains. VE is uncomfortable bt not painful, he shld av just let u b immediately he felt u were tight. He dint av 2 keep at it wit all d screaming. All VE iv done has never left me traumatised, I just feel a little bit uncomfortable n after a while I'm good. D Lord ll grant u ur heart desire of a VD after all some pple wey no kpekus truout pregnancy still give birth tru VD. August mamas I dey hail.

So, yesterday was my clinic day, and I had the most traumatic experience ever...
I complained to the doctor about the contractions I've been having and he said they were just BH contractions, but that to be very sure, he'll do a VE...

Na em dis guy wear glove, clean me with disinfectant, or whatever, next thing, e chook hand inside my hoohaa, and kept pushing and pushing in, like he lost something inside me, and was trying to get it out... I screamed and screamed, asking and begging him to stop, the guy no gree oh... He just went on and on... I just kept screaming and screaming and almost fell off the bed, I tried pushing him off, but he kept pushing...
It was at the point I was about to slap him that he now stopped... Oh! It was the worst pain ever...

Next thing, he turned to my husband and said "ah... only one finger and your wife is shouting like this, when was the last time you two had sex" (which is actually a long time)... I was just crying in one corner...
Then he told my husband that we should better prepare for CS, because my pain threshold is very low... I wanted to ask him if he was normal... I just paused from my crying and eyed him and continued crying...

When i got home and peed, my hoohaa was peppering me as if I had an open wound there...

Biko sisters...

1...Is a VE supposed to be that painful?
2...Will I be able to push my precious baby out when it's time? I no dey do any CS oh...
3...Wasn't the doctor supposed to use lube before inserting his finger, or something?
4...I started having lower abdominal pains (like menstrual cramps), down to my upper thigh last night, up till now... They're bearable, but very irregular. Is it as a result of the VE?

I'm so sorry for the long post... Please, help your sister...

my able captain make I lsugh first kikikikikikikikiki hmmmm my Dr used olive oil before doing mine and if you re'axed it will be painless but as you were doing micheal jackson e come pain you ndo lol

As for him telling you about CS cos of low pain threshold he is sick in his blokos,if he guided you while doing it the pain doesnt last upto 3mins and thats ALL

Meanwhile I noticed something interesting about my CS incission and if my hunch is right then my surgeon is good,will be back to share

I was so embarrassed ehn...

I told him I don't blame he and the baby...

enkaydewdrop, pele dear...I would say some people are not skilled in doing VE. When I had my 1st child, the nurse that was to insert that tab used to ripen cervix; when she started, I nearly punched her away. Her VE was sooooo painful ! I cried so tey I refused to allow her again. In the morning when my ob/gyn came (God bless competent hands), he was gisting with me and used that to distract me. His VE was not painful at all, infact I was surprised when after he finished, he told me he just broke my waters! No pain at all unlike that yeye nurse...lol

Bottomline is he ought to make you feel comfortable and relaxed before he starts the VE. Don't mind that his CS story, pain threshold has no hold on you. Oya wipe your tears and drink a hot cup of beverage kiss

Mama, I wish I could describe the pain... I've never ever felt anything like it before...
Ordinary sex for me sef is painful, not to talk of VE... I still haven't recovered from the shock...

From what people have said, its not painful just uncomfortable. Its less painful if you relax and if your vjay is not too tight.

It's all in your hands dear. Why are you guys abstaining for sex? You know how much you need it. Even tho libido is gone, just force yourself so that place can be open.
There was a lady in my hospital who had CS because she didnt have sex for months during her pregnancy. The place was so tight that they couldn't even do a VE for her. You need to take this serious dear. I was not in the mood but i woke dh up this morning and set my bumbum for sex becos i know how tight my vjay is and CS dey fear me. Pls o. Abeg. Not everyone has wide pelvis. You'll be fine okay?

Don't mind him... And he kept on repeating that we should better opt for CS... I honestly felt like slapping him...
He saw me crying and kept asking me if it was paining me...
I'm still boiling with anger...

Dis one no follow me gist anything oh... He just rammed his finger in without warning and kept twisting and twisting his rubbish finger inside...

Please, is the cramp/lower abdominal pain I'm feeling as a result of the VE? It's still on oh...

My sister, he didn't even give me time to relax... I hadn't even finished my last sentence, when I felt the wave of pain... I was almost wondering what was happening, before I remembered I was on the bed for VE... He didn't even warn me at all...

Good to know there's another calabar mama in the house, my friend told me about a place at Army junction that they do scan for 1500 but I don't trust them enough to go there.

I doubt there's any place that scan is 2500 in calabar here o especially since this year. The last one I did was almost 4k.

Secondly...i had a great no so gud nyt yestaday....yea..Bae was battling wt d fibroid (yes only one now cuz scan has bn detecting one nd not two again)yestanyt till around 3am nd i ws in pain..bt all glory to God am fine now nd i knw my journey is settled in heaven.

I don't even know what to do about this doctor... The docs usually have time frame for being in my hospital... They're from LUTH, so they change them frequently, like they have a roaster or something... This one is a new one, he just resumed, and he's going to be there till I deliver...
