In my house we now use 600 naira petrol for 3 nights (7:30pm-past 9) or anytime the fuel finishes. People hardly drive around unnecessarily $ I have stopped going out except it's "very important". Also,those that use gen in my area like it's Nepa light have stopped.

Maybe you use "I better pass my neighbour ". My gen will hardly use 1,500 fuel for 2 nights (8-10)

Why are they complaining. The day price of fuel was increased, all the petrol stations rushed to increase the pump. Even those that were still selling old stock. So dont complain when nigerians cant afford ur fuel. Is better u start drinking it or use it to make soup!

Before the petrol escalate I have pot belly but NW am building my sixpacks coz I don't ride again( daily exercise don take over)

I can't even remember when last we did that. Unless it's to pump water..

I can't remember the last time I bought more than 10 litres of fuel for my car. And for generator na 3 litre for 2 days (7-10)

I think everyone have realised that we can actually survive by rationing the little we've got.

I do not think the new transition is worth celebrating. Reduction in PMS sales is not good for anyone. It is bad market to the CEO of gas stations, to the people, and to the government.

It is bad market for petrol dealers but good market for the transporters. It is also good for car owners because you now plan your movement and save more that you would ve spent for fuel. It has reduced traffic congestion on our roads thereby reducing movement time. It is gradually inculcating the culture of prudent spending among Nigerians.

Since I bought a 500 watts inverter and 200AH battery in May, I use 10 litres of fuel per week, previously I was using 4 litres of fuel per day (which is equal to 28 litres of fuel per week)!

PS: I am off the national grid. EKEDC (NEPA) cut my light in September 2015.

Pls what type of gen do u use? 1500 petrol lasts me for roughly 5-6hrs a night(8-12pm). And I hardly have light at home. Most nights,I buy at least 2k fuel...

Some of us also bought inverter and battery that generator charge so we don't use fuel all the time.

Let the CHANGE people keep scamming Nigerians, one thing I just hate about we Nigerians is that we adapt quickly to situations like this, which is a bad thing.

It depends on what you are powering with your Gen. An original Yamaha 950 sold by John Holt should last about 9 hours full tank which is just 4 litres of fuel.
