Is so unfortunate, people are just seeing the lapses in this scam administration, from onset, their down fall is boldly written on the wall, but many reluntantly fail to read it.
What is so special about Fashola? He govern Lagos state, with super abundant resources, enough to manage a country, still Lagos is the highest indebted state all over African, with loan in billions of dollar. Every amenties is been paid for, toll gate for roads, excessive tax for small business, multiple agencies with thesame duties, only to extort the masses, the list is endless.
This administration has fail before arrival, he took Buhari, 6 month to appoint minister, hoping it we come up with something extraordinary, rather he came out with junk individual's. Who have fail to see and align themselves with the reality on ground. The spudity that flows in there blood cannot be overemphasize, fashola increase electricity tarrif with 45%, without a corresponding increase in value of service, yet zombies applaud him.one of his colleque, describe our suffering as fiction, the other one threaten private organisation for retrenchment by revoking their license, the greatest liar among them, want to take 13 million naira for jollification in far east, minister of finance and petroleum, they are not even worthy to manage a rural community in sane country
One should not even bother to waste his time and energy on the president, he cannot offer, what he does not possess, he's a fulani without no ssce certificate. He's area of specilisation is rearing of cow, unfortunately the south west, chose him to be our leader.
I welcome everybody to a melodramatic government.

sooner or later you will know Fashola is capable only that the so people like the minister himself is sabotaging the industry. let him go and check Fashola records in Lagos. politics apart
Calling a spade a spade, his record is nothing near the mountainous IGR of Lagos collected for eight years including the loans and the federal allocation received for the same period.

An end to the nation's power crisis has remained elusive regardless of who is in office. Everyone leapt with joy the day Fashola was made the minister of power in the hope that his go-getting aura would make him tackle the power crisis headlong. This has not been the case as the almost intractable crisis has earned him the sobriquet "minister of darkness". The power crisis has been further exacerbated by the activities of vandals. Fashola , himself , appears to be at his wits end over what to do about the crisis. He may simply end up as another minister of power that was defied by the power crisis.

It appears there is an inadequate understanding of the challenges ailing the power sector. It is hard to understand why successive ministers of power have not been able to resolve the crisis. We really must look for a lasting solution by any way that God or man can show....Fashola must certainly have learnt some salutary lessons from all of this. He must now have seen that ensuring adequate supply of power to Nigerians is more than rocket science.

You, him, all of us know the problems besetting the energy sector, but will you accept the solution. Will you not view them through distorted, sentimental, sectional, parochial lenses and see only hopelessness. Let us continue deceiving ourselves.

How will there be darkness when the money meant for every reasonable thing to make Nigeria a better place for citizen is in the pocket of a few 2 percent of Nigerians.

What happened to the dams for generating electricity

Nigeria is a failed country.you can see for yourself.

In 2016 and there is still darkness?they take electricity for months in some areas?we should be ashamed of ourselves.

Fashola incompetence has seen the total collapse of the Nigerian power sector. He is as incompetent and inefficient as they come. Nigeria never had it this bad before. This is rainy season, the period of the year the nation always seem to have better power supply, but under the incompetent Yoruba hyped Fashola, the reverse has been the case.

Fashola is not the problem of Nigerian power failings. The bitter truth which must be told is that just like everything else that has gone wrong with our nation due lack of management and investment in existing infrastructures, the power sector suffers from the same problem.
Successive government have bundled and fumbled with it until just like the petroleum sector it is now a monster any new government wants to run away from.
If all the monies we have read and heard about these past years have really been invested in power generation maybe it wont be as terrible as it is today.
The day we fix power in Nigeria (hopefully in my lifetime) then our nation has indeed turn the curve. We have sunshine and water and there is gas yet we cannot do it (smh) we really are a unique people.

Lol! See them defending incompetence. Like Fashola like Adeosun, all incompetent individuals.

Fashola was brought in the fix the power situation, not to point at past failures, if the past was shiny, I am sure Fashola wouldn't have been brought in, as there wouldn't have been need for that. angry

The problems of Nigerian power remain the same as they were before Fashola came in, they include:

1, Poor generation capability which is attributable to lesser generation infrastructures and gas supply cut by vandals.

2, Poor distribution capability.

Fashola was expected to devise means to solve or get around those problems that will translate to improved power supply to Nigerians. In saner climes, he would have resigned haven realized he is too incompetent and handicapped by many factors to achieve those outlined tasks.

In my small corner, I knew that Fashola was a disaster waiting to happen, when he was bestowed with much more responsibilities than he could ever dream to handle. Power, works and housing... Only one singular man... I laugh in Peruvian.

Power Ministers in the past are never Fashola's match;
1. Prof. Bath Nnaji of MIT and Geometric Electric (professor robotic engineering and power system design & integration), was America's best in this field in 1991.

2. Prof. Rev. Vener. Nebo Chinedu of UNN, ESUT etc (professor of metallurgy engineering).

Babatunde Fashola (SAN); power, works and housing...at a time. Just to deprive SE/SS and massage the Yoruba Muslim's ego. Just as Kemi Adeosun is their own Okonjo-Iweala

Certificateless PMB using mosquitos to fill the slot for lions and expecting miracles.

Pls give us the statistics of your HEPs and tell us the amount of MW they contribute to the grid as compared to the thermal plants.
Here you are insulting another person when you could not even use your own brain.

Electricity problems can be solved within 6months if there is political will.
Fashola and the rest of the APC sycophants in this administration have no principles and no conscience to confront the collapse prudently.
First, we need to change the power generation and distribution laws by decentralising the grid. Allow every state, local governments, private investors to generate and distribute electricity within any cluster they can muster using alternative means whilst we start a holistic decentralization of the transmission lines. Secondly, abrogate estimated bills to properties without meters. It will guarantee generation and distribution. There is no business mind that will make any effort to supply a service that is mandatorily paid for even when the service is not supplied. That is fraud and it is the microcosm of the Nigerian society.

That's not correct. Power capacity from our gas powered plants is far in excess of hydro capacity. Kanji is our biggest hydro and at best can do only 760Mw. However Egbin and Alaoji are both in excess of 1000mw and are both gas. I can count at least 6 other power plants that are in to 400 to 500 my range.

You are wrong on this.. Egbin supplies 4500mw and is currently supplying 2400ish mw ... You r ryt abt kanji but presently they r not supplying cls that amount.. The only solution Nigeria has is each state should build its own power station.

Yes an electrical engineer will be good to be minister of power but then again a ministerial job is not a technical one to the core. There are electrical engineers in the ministry to assist him on the technical aspect of the job.
What we need are sincerely motivated people who will get the job done for us as a nation pulling on their different background of knowledge.
