it's seems far-fetched that any one who has been a director in Shell since 2007 (the richest oil company globally) can't afford such assets !
I find the Nigerian penchant for besmirching people without critical thinking rather funny.
Please Nigerians let's learn to think before following the pack mentality.
Someone should tell us what is the take home of a director in Shell bonuses + allowances and the yearly housing , I know from a friend that directors are paid in forex.
A nairalanders here actually told me she was a director for only one year which has been proven to be false so please lets stick to facts and resist the lust to just blurt out comments

She should not be able to afford it. You do not understand, that is not her only asset worth millions of dollars. She has so many. You have no idea how these people hide and move things around. Do you know how many of your politicians and governmental officers gave up their foreign citizenship to countries like USA and U.K. because those ones were going after them for taxes and money (they would call it corruption charges though. Na. wash). They bought citizenship into countries with easier tax laws and no extradition clause. There is proof that she was corrupt. But to speak up is to damn people whom are of benefit to one. And no-one will do that to defend people who will never thank you for your sacrifice. What you and so many people write here is more evidence that is best to keep quiet and look out for your own, let the masses keep struggling blindly.

If truly that house costs 18 million dollars and the jewelries cost 2 million dollars to total 20 million dollars then there can be no doubt she's a thief.
Shell Co. in Nigeria does not pay directors that kind of money. Besides she didn't buy all those things when she was in Shell. She bought them as a minister whose official take home pay is far smaller than her director pay at Shell. I doubt if even the President and CEO of Shell Nigeria can buy such a house with cash down.
Thanks for you clear response, I actually thought she bought these when she was in Shell.

Menstrualpad or whatever you call your self, if Diezani is truly innocent of all these barrage of allegations and innuendoes she has been subjected to since she left government especially the latest one, let her sue the EFFCC and possibly Al Jazeera for defamation of character and claim for damages rather than joining issues with them on the pages of newspapers and in the social media. If she is sincere and can possibly tell the whole world where she got her sudden wealth, then she will be exonerated and the court will award substantial amount of money as damages.Until this is done, many people will continue to assume that she stole why she was in government because this a common trend with Nigerian government officials. the fact that she was once an executive director in Shell does NOT make her billionaire overnight.EFCC has made allegation with tangible and verifiable evidence it is left with Diezani to come and clear her name with FACTS and FIGURES rather than mare assertions and whipping up of sentiments.

. In April 2006, I was appointed by Shell as the company’s first female Executive Director in Nigeria. In July 2007,

A director from April 2006 before July 2007, just a year.

Mrs Madueke or whatever u are called, come to ur father's land and defend urself. It's a pity u deserted ur father's land to foreign land because of ur fraudulent act. How many foreigners have u seen having served their father's land run to another man's land to see abode. Shameless animal....

So this woman is playing the pity card and some are taking it.

Though she has not been found guilty of any corruption charges yet, But does that mean she didn't embezzle Nigerian government fund?

Not yet been found guilty is as a result of our poor judiciary system. No one (Politician) has been convicted despite we all know that corruption in the country is the PEAK of our problem in Nigeria.

Well I also leave you to your conscience and the judgment of GOD. lipsrsealed

And she didn't sweat for what she has ? And when does having someone's name on corruption charges makes him/her guilty ? Your are both the prosecutor and the judge and who told you she doesn't have honor ? If she doesn't have honor would she have being recognize even at international level ?

You better stick to the mod work seun gave you.

I guess you should rather stick to your kitchen activities than draging politics with someone that knows the inside and outside of politics, thank you.

Do not insult Ibadan women, they might sound/look razz but they have honor and pride in not having their names smeared in thievery.

Madam, they wear gold yes, but they also have honor.
Great reply bro. Am tired of thieves trying to compare their wealth with hardworking people, if you are a yahoo boy or a government thief, my wealth and yours are not on equal level, I'm better than you at all levels cause mine is rooted in honor, no matter how small , yours has no honor or root but based on dishonesty and shame.

Madam that is just one house out of plenty that you have and also in people's name. Because you studied somewhere doe not mean you are not a thieve or looter

People have been in your position before and are not 20 percent as rich as you are.

U na ole barawo. Na urself deh deceive. Just ask for forgiveness because God can come anytime and you won't make raven. Comparing you self to people who sit under the sun or in their hot shop and making money to buy gold or you changing 100 million dollars to 1 billion dollars.

I don't think it should offend anyone when people have varying opinions or when people seek clarification and refuse to join the band wagon.

Comments like that only seek to discourage free speech and stifle freedom of expression.

Unfortunately this is very rampant in this forum, it's as if people try to bully everyone into one opinion and were a person dares to differ they are verbally insulted and hushed up.
This is unhealthy and will only make some people leave this forum.

U maybe a moderator but that comment of urs sir is unfair as it comes. Quote me anywhere. Nigerians pls we should learn to be dispassionate in our comments and thinkings. Who knows but the world is round and what someone else is suffering now may and could come around to hurt the next person. The people we should attack are those seeking to destroy others.

I didn't see how her CV translated to such unaccountable wealth.

Madam go to court and sue for deformation of your person. Putting this piece does not exonerate you from the allegation.

abi o. the latter part of the statement looks like a sentimental appeal to pity. just sue for defamation of character and hope it doesn't end like the case of Bode George.

It pains me that Journalism has recently bn poorly done.

So, are they trying to say that someone who has worked in Shell at its apex level, served in various government as minister and also someone from a rich home can't afford those properties?

Meanwhile, our Vice President owns a house abroad and has over hundreds of thousand of pounds and dollars in his account (according to his asset declaration form? and no one is talking about it cuz his is a SAN and as a SAN he can afford it but Diezani who has worked for shell, Nigeria and other firms can't huh?

I must say our journalist or whatever they call themselves at EFCC are shallow minded.

Ah! Nigeria. I agree with you the poor don't care. They only fight themselves instead of the real enemy

Nigerians are funny. They will fight their neighbour that is on the same level as they are instead of the landlord cheating them. They will insult Resident Doctors instead of asking for the arrest of the CMD and Board running the ill-equipped hospitals their loved ones died in. They sill defend any politician who appeals to their tribe even if the politician hasn't even tarred the roads in their local govt or bothered to build a clinic sef.

Our mentality is really fvcked. We should have a cleansing of it. Any politician regardless of his tribe, region or religion if paraded to be a thief is a thief and should be accepted that way. No politician in sane in Nigeria and if anyone of of them is paraded as one so be it

But trust some Nigerians. They are messed up like a pad used for messes
