TonyeBarcanista:
Yes, he is a Niger Deltan and a key personality from the region in national prominence.
[I freed some slaves, but I could have freed many more if only they knew that they were slaves]...

quote from an abolitionist.

It is worthy to note that when many Americans were struggling to end making Africans slaves, some whites even killing other whites in the fight to stop slavery, many black slaves refused to sign onto abolishing slavery.

Nigeria as presently structured and governed makes an average person from the Niger delta a miniature citizen compared to citizens from the south west and northern regions.

Anybody that believes that a day shall come when Nigeria as presently structured and governed shall be restructured politically to upgrade the citizen status of an average Niger delta person is deceiving him/herself.

Hmmmmmmm

Shadow of himself? Come on! The guy was fighting for his dear life then. As I can remember, Amaechi couldn't walk the street of PH, between 2013 and 2015, because of Wike's thugs.

Where are the "youth" representatives in this so called summit? Or are they only useful for blowing up pipelines and electoral assassination?

Because all these men have talked tire in the past and nothing ever came of it! Oh well, una region una stress!
the youngest billionaire in African is an Urhobo man from the Niger Delta. Gerit?

Then in what capacity was he invited, lately his speech at functions are so irritating, he should understand we have gone past electioneering, and it is time to act not campaign, we really don't want to know all the battles he fought and how fearless he was.

From his speech at the town hall the calabar-lagos railway line will not start until next year but it was included in this year's budget, but the Lagos to Kano will be starting soon, so tell me what is the difference between him and GEJ government, because you can agree with me that GEJ worked and did things for North and not the Niger Delta, which everyone was insulting and abusing him for.

Now Amaechi it is your turn we want to see how patriotic you are to you people or if truly you are really a slave to north and west.
[size=13pt]You sound like it is a discovery that he speaks kind of foolishly (and you may not be aware that the version of public speaking you see from him is an improved one). It is a discovery that more and more people kept on making from the time he became governor and had to make public speeches.

You see, Amaechi is as intellectually refined as a port harcourt street character.
The rest of the world understandably fell into the mistake of considering him any different.
I say so because the mind automatically bestows certain levels of dignity to those whom the interplay of events somehow cause to emerge office holders.

So he remains dressed in clothes more honourable than he is. And I mean this literally and metaphorically.

He is a product of the mad rush by criminals into the political system in 1999 when our new democratic era started and the only things many can confidently say are honourable about him are the cloaks of the public offices of speaker, governor and minister, and the clothes he wears.
The rest remain whatever a street character given these garbs to put on makes of having to put on these garbs.

Yes. The best Rivers state Governor in her history so far.
[size=13pt]It is well known that Diete-Spiff did the most.
He is the one that built our skyscraper secretariat, back in the day.
All the government secondary schools across the states, he built.
What is remarkable is he was able to do this when Rivers State and Bayelsa state where one state.
All the way from Okrika, Bonny, Kalabari, Port-Harcourt to Nembe, Brass and I am sure, beyond, you find the schools he built have served the people up till today, most times being the only secondary school in the community for over a decade.

More of such economic and development summits/Events are highly needed in the Niger Delta Region, our youths must be fully and gainfully engaged, for only so there can be peace.

Nothing is well-known. Even u that is talking, u only mentioned just one scrapper and mentioned him building schools. Tell me where Amaechi didn't build schools?
Tell me what Spiffy did in the health sector?
Tell me what spiffy did in sports?
Tell me what spiffs did in human capacity?
Tell me what spiff did in agriculture?
Tell me what spiff did in security? Etc
Does that mean spiff was a failure, of cos not. He surely tried his best and even out performed cursed governors like Odili who wike is currently looking up to now.
Pending when u state the above, Amaechi remains the best in her history.

Pls, @Tonyebarcanista whr did Ameachi got dis 'Rotimi' name 4rm? am asking cos it sound Yoruba in meaning.
Rotimi Amaechi is from the SW, his mother is from Rivers, his father is a Yoruba man.

It's a long story, dating back to more than four decades, Oro awon agba ni, ti ko ba se lo wuro o ma se lo jo aale.

Painfully his original kinsmen cannot revert the hands' of clock. No one knows tomorrow. (Their son is now a full grown figure thou a professional looters) grin

If you doubt me, ask Rotimi Amaechi who is Late Chief Jacob. Let me stop.

Amaechi is from Ubima, Ikwerre. Opobo is a riveeine kingdom, they speak Ibani and they are Ijaws. Peterside is an Opoboman.

He was known for the hat while in the House of Reps
Oga take style dey lie. Opobos are not Ijaws, they simply identify as Opobians. Only Bonny address themselves as Ibani. Opobians don't usually wear traditional bowler hats like other Niger Deltans except for few occasions. They are very passionate about their gold strip native cap. Language of communication in Opobo is Igbo.
