What restriction does Canada place on international students while studying? I am aware they allow you to work 20 hours/week and unlimited hours during holidays.
there is a thread for Canadian student visa
go there and ask
enough of this Canadian this and that
if u go to Germany with two mind u will find it difficult taking this the way there are cos u will always think that Canada would have been better.
make your decision. ,even Canada is not bed of roses

Whatsup with Insurance for international students that are over 30 Jahre alt in Deutschland? Pls enlighten me.

If you are not the type that always fall sick you may try care concept its private though and also affordable. The fee starts from 26€ and above. I repeat if you are not the type that easily fall sick...like me hehehe... If the reverse is the case you have no choice than using AOK. I think its from 160€ and above. Its painful thou

This an area I know about very well. *clears throat*
If you are 29 or younger you can easily get public insurance at 83€ monthly which is student rate. But if you are 30 or older you can no longer pay the students rate. You are to pay 170.43€ monthly. Now you have an option of going for something cheaper. Mawista for example offers insurance for this class of students for rates starting from 33€. You choose the premium according to the coverage they offer.
But with experience I would advice strongly that you overlook that money and go for public insurance at 170€. This is because if you fall ill and need to be hospitalized you would bless God for sticking with them. Medical bills are very very high here. Its so expensive that its unaffordable. Now private insurance can be funny. They will not pay for any sickness you have had before joining them. They may not pick all your bills. You have to pay out of pocket for some treatment and check ups plus follow up care. Public insurance has no issues with that. You don't even see your bill.
Now when you go to a hospital with your private insurance paper the doctors will not even like it. They will be complaining(my experience) they are not familiar with this company. They may tell you that they will send the bill to you so you pay them directly first.after you send the bill to the insurance company they may begin to ask questions and say we will pay this percentage, this and that. In short their whahala is something else. You can never tell if they will quietly pay all the bills or they will start with their whahala. But with public you go to the hospital you flash your card. Everyone is happy. They will not withhold any type of treatment from you. They will carry out as many extensive tests and treatment for you knowing fully well that they deal directly with the insurance company and you won't even see the bill. Maybe just 10€ for hospital stay. Having experienced private and public, I would say public insurance is a breath of fresh air.
I learnt UNION is the best for people going for private because they have many incentives and pay 100% of hospital bills, although it starts from €78.
(1)would you recommend UNION for people going for private?
(2) since a wife and kids are covered under the Man's insurance coverage, would you recommend UNION. ( Private) or the man should go for private.

I sent you a PM

The amount is much for a student to spare for a month but if you have the equivalence at the parallel market rate, I might find someone who MIGHT do the transfer for you at least some few days to the deadline.

Thank you.

I mailed the school and they are contemplating on giving me the option to pay online using my card. They asked me to wait till Monday. I'm hopeful but if no show, I'll beep you.

JUST FOR THE RECORDS.

chinok97:
are you using blocked account or letter of sponsorship? if blocked account :book an appointment for opening of blockedacct,
https://service2.diplo.de/rktermin/extern/appointment_showDay.do?locationCode=lago&realmId=695&categoryId=1157&dateStr=07.06.2016 (change the language to English yourself, don't let Google translator whine u)
then, go wth the required docs needed and stated in ur appointment mail i.e print out of appointment mail, Admission letter and 2 copies, 2 filled Deutschebank account form via pc, passport and 2 copies of its data page, be there at the exact time or earlier, and your N4500. after opening, you are given a receipt, you can book for visa interview with that and your admission letter or you can decide to fund before the booking for interview.
you can get the latest db form from here: https://www.deutsche-bank.de/pfb/data/docs/pk-kredit_finanzierung-db_international_opening_a_bank_account_for_foreign_students.pdf

if you are using letter of sponsorship, i dont know how that goes, let the other brothers help with that, but your supposed sponsor has to go to his alien office fr some documentation.

NB:you get your account details frm DB 3-4weeks after opening .
