Here we go.The south-kaduna people are predominantly christian, and establishing a reserve there would only lead to more violent clashes.The fulani leaders have been so brazen and arrogant about this whole thing.This bill is a fraud, and another indirect attempt to lay control over this entity Nigeria. How will govt allocate land for grazing to herdsmen which is their private business... .... is just like saying that the herdsmen should allocate some good numbers of cows to govt so the govt should kill and convert it to manure for the farmer's farmland across the country.

I remembered minister of agriculture wen invited to senate floor, one of the things he said was, Nigeria cattles produce the lowest of milk per day in the world, why? Cattle walk long distance to feed, they are hydrated. What's the use of this grazing reserve? In this 21st century? I support most of PMB policy, but this grazing of a thing, na no brainer. Abeg, in lagos, na where dem go reserve? Lagosian no go allow any of those killings in other states o, before u know it, cult members and area boys has descended on them and start a war. Na waa ooo.

Southern Kaduna have given an apt summary of the grazing reserves issue.

Whoever wrote that piece did a great job expressing the absurdness of the idea, and the feelings of victims of herdsmen.

Whether herders like it or not, they must be dragged kicking and screaming into 21st century cattle rearing practices not roaming around destroying farms and killing farmers and villages who challenge them.
