Has anyone else notice that whenever attempt is made to transfer funds from FCMBonline banking app, it will not be successful. It reports name verification failed. but it works seamlessly with transfers to other banks. I called FCMB client care line, but they claimed there is no fault in their system?

GTBank does the magic for me .....their online banking platform is the best and they are very customer centric. They dspatch ur card to ur location via registered courier companyif thats convenient for you. I tink for online transactions in Naija...they are really the no. 1 for me and they are equally very innovative.... like someone mentioned engage them via their twitter handle and get more info...

i want to open an account with gtbank. i dont knw if they issue their master card to everybody once you open an account with them. i went to firstbank and requested for their master card but i was not given, they gave some reasons that, they have been mandated to stop issuing their master card anyhow unless to some selected VIP..chai!!!!

I think fb master card is the easiest of all to obtain.

I thought GTB was the best but diamond beat them to it.

GTB instant transfer to other banks is never instant, GTB to GTB transfer is okay on their internet banking platform but the GTmobile app is quite terrible

But with that Diamond app everything seems so easy. No stress transfer to other banks are truly instant.

Try either Gtbank or Diamond Bank cos of their wonderful online mobile apps. You need a hard token for Gtbank mobile app but for Diamond mobile app, which I still rate the best mobile banking app, you need only your user id, password and pin. Gtbank Mastercard Atm card is more reliable than Diamond Visa Atm card.

105 is standard across all banks. Only quickteller charge 100. NEFT is also 105.

Note: Gtb will send you 3 different sms alert for every instant transfer done, 1 for the amount sent, 1 for 100 charge and another for 5 naira charge, the implecation is that at the end of the month they will still charge you for all the alerts, instead of using just 1 sms like diamond does, they will send you 3 messages which will be charged at the end of the moth.

Wetin concern Union Bank with mobile banking? A Bank with 1980s mindset? As for Diamond Bank they don't appear in many ATM transfer option except Mobile Apps. So how can one rate them high? Give me GTB, or give me frustrations...

Just enter one of Union Bank branches near you, you go bow. I never see banking hall like that in Nigeria before; modern banking hall, their services now no get part 2.

I usually buy dollar and deposit or withdraw dollar from my Payza account to it and then transfer to a USA bank, the exchange rate is competitive,I found it better than SKye bank,the other bank I use...The Token is a security feature that gives out random numbers without which you can't make a transfer,it a small device tied to your account which you keep safely,so even if someone gets access to your account, they can't withdraw or transfer without the random changing code numbers from the Token(Even now you can still get your token security numbers via your phone but I never use this feature because of the rate of stealing of GSM's in Naija!)

Thanks very much. I always opt out of SMS alerts because I receive email alerts. I don't see the use, it's unnecessarily costly and a privacy concern

Well I use both GTB and Diamond.
Gtbank is good because it has more features to offer than other banks, it's more like your mini banks. Almost anything is possible as long as you have a token without stepping to the bank branch.
It is best for Gtb to Gtb transfers too. But Gtb to other banks is full of disappointment virtually everyday there is a delay. Their instant bank transfer takes upto 8hrs or next day at times.

Diamond bank; the sweet bank I use for my business. Sending and receiving to any bank is much sweeter here, instant is really instant with diamond bank and rarely disappoint.
No extra cost of token unlike Gtbank. Best customer service for back up sake.

So depend on what type of transactions you plan to do the most.

My account with diamond doesn't use ATM, so I don't know about their ATM service.

All my Diamond Bank cards are Visa. I'm not sure they have Mastercards or Verve Cards yet.
