The military invaded the shrine and took the staff because egbesu is powerless and helpless.

During the civil war, my community was protected against Nigerian troops and the troops did not release a single bullet because the gods( mini-achara) chased them away.

But out of fear, the villagers ran away before the arrival of the federal troops. Though those who returned, met their properties intact.

Till date, u don't dare tamper with goats, rams, sheep that belonged to mini-achara because he will surely come after u.

Those days of ghetto life, we almost turned the shrine to ghetto weed joint but despite that, i've witnessed people who thought they can escape after knocking down any ram that belongs to mini-achara and escape without anyone coming after them.

But mini-achara will locate them and they come with rams and other gifts to appease the gods.

So, Dear Tompolo, if ur egbesu cannot defend himself and his properties, it simply means that egbesu has surrendered to Buhari and expects u to do the same.
