You said "We will resist any attempt to over run the senate". By "WE" i guess you mean Nigerians. Unfortunately for you, Nigerians didnt vote the Senate president. "We" voted for President Mohammadu Buhari. So if you want to refer to Nigerians, i believe Nigerians want this 8th senate leadership to be overrun. If Nigerians didnt want the over running of this senate leadership, "We" would have been out in the streets and the social media protesting. Of course people like you are protesting, we know its hate not genuine love for Nigeria. I encourage you to drop the hate and pray or wish that justice is done in every part of Nigeria.

If the attorney general is acting beyond his powers, the court will say so and Saraki and his cohorts like you will celebrate for thereis nothing wrong. Any boarding student that doesnt pray for holidays knows the turmoil that awaits him. If you and Saraki cannot just go to court and clear yourselves, you know you are guilty of something, otherwise, justice will be delivered.

I think the question should be if it is lawful for the executive to concern itself with the internal affairs of the legistlative. From what i read yhe forgery issue was dealt with twice on the floor and put to rest.

From what I read, it was reported by senators to the police who investigated and forwarded to the Minister of Justice.

Plus, know that key witnesses against the senate president are sitting senators. I doubt it was put to rest on the house floor

The red chamber therefore mandated its panel to within two days summon the AGF to explain and justify with evidence the basis for his action.

The senators also wanted the committee to find out from Malami to tell them, whether his action did not constitute gross misconduct, incompetence, contempt of court and abuse of office.

Malami, did not honour the invitation of the senators last week Thursday, but sent a letter to the committee, stating his reasons for his absence.

These Senators are going beyond their bounds and taking Nigerians for granted.

I think the AGF should just ignore them but if he chose to honor their invitation, he should just tell them that "it will be subjudice, to discuss a matter that is in court, anywhere else apart from the court..... so that he is not held in CONTEMPT of the Court".

Let me then see how they will force him to talk.

Senate rule can not be an internal issue because any decision taken from that chamber affects the generality of Nigerians and Nigeria as a country,just like political party rules is not an exclusive preserve of their members. Hence any infringement on it must be adjudicated on by the court of competent jurisdiction at the recommendation of the AGF!

They dont realise that despite the doctrine of "Separation of Powers", all arms of Govt are still subject to the Constitution and laws of the country......... and it is the duty of the Executive Arm of Govt (under the same Separation of Powers) to enforce that law, using the Judiciary Arm (Courts, Security, Police and AGF) of the same doctrine
