All of this you wrote wasn't necessary. Biafra has never been about just the Igbos only. If we remember, the two most senior men in Government after Ojukwu in the first Biafran Republic were not Igbos. Biafra is about Igbos and those who are comfortable with Igbos. The minorities that are currently destroying Oil installations in the Niger Delta are not doing it because they love Nigeria. At the end of the day, what is required is a referendum in the SS/SE and the Igbos of the lower Benue. Everyone one will then have the opportunity to opt in or out.

Everything that you said is true and I already know it. I opened this thread because I have given up on them.

If your father and mother have raised you to hate igbos, how can you overcome that? Very few strong minded people do. Like I said earlier, there are so many non Igbo nigerdeltans that cling to Nigeria because they rather have igbos in check. That's why I prefer a more homogenous movement that is devoid of confusion and backstabbing.

Nwoke you can claim to be anything on NL. You can even tell us you're the prince of nri...heck you can write you're Asagba for all I vare.

Your post gives you the f2k away.

No igbo cares about ijaw like you portray it on this thread...shit the comment about Igbo wear the attire as ijaws is yet again another giveaway no matter wtf you claim here.

As I said, be proud of your ethnicity and stop using igbo as your shield. Lastly...you and your people should go and create your republic and Igbo would create our own. It is NOT a must we should include una.

Finally, whether nnamdi kanu spoke of ijaws or not...idk and i don't give a Bleep. My comments STAYS and as you can see from the comment of the rest of Igbo that replied, the real ones, agrees with my comment.

Is it true or false that Igbos now wear that Ijaw dress? Correct me if am wrong?

Do you know the mindset of the average Ijaw towards the Igbo? I can assure you that it's not too far off from that of Yorubas, ofcourse there are Ijaws that are pro Igbo or just indifferent to the Igbo, but a large number of the average Ijaws still suffer from innate Igbophobia, rooted on falsehoods passed down to them by their parents about the Igbo.

I have noticed that most of these Igbo freedom seeking groups like IPOB and MASSOB hardly do their home works well, they just sit in the comfort of their homes and start drawing maps and lumping groups into the Igbo project without even trying as small as possible to gather intelligence on the sentiments prevalent amongst these groups towards the Igbo.

You can join Ijaw/Izon Facebook groups, there are many of them, and closely study the Igbophobic sentiments of most of their youths, then you pity IPOB and them Rest that are building castles on the air.

You see those people as brothers/ neighbors, they see you as a wolf in sheep clothing closing in to take their lands and crude oil (that currently don't belong to them) from them. They don't see you any different from Hausas and Yorubas, they see your plan of trying to build a nation with them, as you trying to displace their current masteers( North) that control their oil and replacing them( North) as their new masters in your new phantom republic.

Most of them have phantom stories handed down to them by their lying parents, of the Igbo attempt to kill them all or relocate them from their oil lands and replacing them with Igbos. They even have absurd stories of Igbos phantom failed attempt at renaming their towns by giving them Igbo New names.

And these ones on facebook are the educated ones amongst them that should know better, yet they hold strong to those absurd, unsubstantiated falsehoods handed down to them about Ndiigbo by their parents, you can only shiver at the thought of what the bizarre falsehoods the uneducated ones amongst them in the villages hold towards the Igbo.

Brother, if you visit those Facebook pages, your outlook of things will change, if you see the amount of hate those peeps have for us, you will have no option but to return it to them in hundred folds, and you will come to take the stance that I am currently taking on this issue.

Gbam. And the funny thing...the Ijaws are actually the real land grappers. There has not been ONE tribe which reside next to ijaws whom they haven't attacked, killed or fought with over lamd. Hell even on NL.. I saw them trying to rewrite both Ndoki and Egbema history...right in our fucking face.

Honestly, sometimes I look at IPOB and Massob and wonder if they seriously know some of this tribes? I keep saying it. If IPOB insist of including ijaws and co, count Asaba out. I don't want to wake up one day and see ijaws fighting my people and claiming Asaba belongs to them.....maba

Before anyone accuse me of being paranoid, I have argued with one on NL who told me from his mouth that They (ijaws) gave the land we reside in to us...that historically, the land is theirs. According to the mofo, the entire Delta lands belong to them. If one of them have that deluded thought, I won't be surprised if several of them have that thought.

Not doing enough to co-opt people in the ND is my major grouse with IPoB but I don't chastise them so much. It's not easy. You seem to be fully aware of how things are on ground. Most of my Igbo brothers live in fools paradise. I'm always realistic in approach and realistically speaking,as of now the ND are on another boat entirely though we're generally heading the same way. I wish people were better informed.

I am with Onenaira1 on this one. Personally I feel including ijaws would be too risky. They are too hot tempered. What if they later start to shout 'igbo domination', and begin to create problems for us?? They have done it before. Let everybody bear their father's name. We can be good neighbors while in separate countries. That is my own opinion.

Exactly what I am saying. Let's not create another quagmire in bia fran future. If they say that they want to be part of us, then we must have an open publicly televised debate and negotiations carried transparently so nobody will come tomorrow and say those Igbos deceived us.

Peep like you are setting the Igbos up for a high jump too high that we will trip on it, with your emotional views and ways of thinking.

You need to be pragmatic for once, and learn the ways of the world.

You see the Ijaws as brothers, the average Ijaw man sees you as a greedy neighbor that is out to annex his lands, take his oil to delvelop your own " dry" lands, impoverish him and even believe that you have it in you to relocate him from his lands and replace him.

He sees Nigeria as the only thing keeping you in check from carrying out the above plans, which he believes you already had mapped out in your secret Igbo meetings.

And you are asking him to jump out from Nigeria( even though Nigeria is not fair to them) and jump into a bed with you, with Nigeria gone to give her protection from you carrying out your plans on her.

This is his mindset, your calling him a brother doesn't change this his view of you. That view is what you have to work with, you can't wish it away by drawing phantom maps and including his lands, (infact those maps to his already fixed mind is an evidence that you are out to take his lands from him).

Your only option is to accept this reality, only then can the real solution to it come.

Wtf is your problem?

Is it by force?

Finally, the only reason igbo and ijaws have not fought over lands is because their other minorities that separate igbo lands from "ijawland". If there was a land igbo and ijaw reside close to other, best believe we would be among the tribes una fought. Name one, just ONE, ijaw direct neighbor tribe they have yet to fight over land...just name ONE.

I completely understand what you mean. What you have to understand is that the Nigerian propaganda machine had many years since the end of the war to brainwash many of the minorities in Southern Nigeria that their Igbos neigbours were the real enemies. They were told that Igbos want to dominate them and steal their lands. But things are changing. It was an opener for the Niger Delta when Igbos gave their own son almost 100% support in the last presidential elections. They have started to realise that the Igbos are their only real friends in Nigeria. Most of the negative comments online towards Igbos are just Yorubas masquerading as indigenes of the Niger Delta. Like I said, a referendum will clear everything up.
