Pls kindly esplain (in Jenifa's voice)
Is it d 6wk rule?

Yea it makes a whole lot of sense since you would not be needing the ticket for anything till the month of your travel for PTA, so why the rush when you can get cheaper tickets then.

But she'll be emotionally traumatized. If she's turned back? And guess what? Waste of money
If he can afford her flight and a short vacation it's totally worth it. Change of intent is a letter u send to d embassy and u get a generic response but u show to the cbp.. At his discretion can do and undo now the emotional trauma they might put her through is what I call stressful.

It's practically a clear case of misrepresentation... Those people don't hear "is not like that sir" or "lemme esplain sir" or "pity her condition sir"

Omoba88 if u can afford it, do the safest and surest thing. Let her go for a short vacation. Some locations have extremely cheap tickets right now.
It's different if she wasn't pregnant at d time of interview (that one dey still even send people back).
. Thanks ma'am but what would term as the surest and safest thing to do? Actually during the visa interview the VO never asked if she was pregg or not and I was too nervous to answer a question that wasn't put to me... Do you think it will be safe for her to travel at 22weeks for vacation without any hassles at the POE considering JFK or EWR cod our final stop is Rhode Island. What if she's asked at POE if she is pregnant or not what should the response be?

Harjeehbaday:

Apologies for not sharing the full story earlier....I have been trying to acclimatize.....so back to the story
Myself and DH got to the airport around 8pm, we had to wait for some mins to allow the KLM passengers check-in...passed through the NDLEA peeps to search the boxes...I had a box with foodstuff and another with clothes etc...
Finally we were set to leave at around past 11pm....the economy seats were not really spacious .....well fast forward to Paris..
We had about 2 hours stop over..flight was delayed for about 30mins...finally left at 8.50am ...while waiting to board I was having some pains and praying nothing should go wrong while still in Paris or on board to US...
Landed at JFK at about 11 am. ...fortunately one of the officials passed me to the front line ...in less than 10 mins I was with the CBP officer..
CBP officer: why are you here?
Me: to give birth
CBP: Why the US?
Me: need better medical care for my baby...
CBP: How much do you have with you?
Me: 4k dollars Cash with about 7k in cards
CBP: you declare you have food items; what are they?
Me: yam flour, cassava flour etc
CBP: Any specialist doc you are seeing
Me: yea, have an appointment with a doc on Tuesday. .showed him the appointment letter
CBP: excuse me, I will be back in few mins
Me and hubby were waiting on the counter and hoping there will be no secondary inspection cos we had 2 hours to catch the next flight...
After 3 mains, CBP officer returned...
CBP: your fingers pls...face up.....stamped us in till Dec 31st
Na so we Waka enter the US oooo. At agriculture, the guy looked at my big Belle. ..seems you are ready to pop...all d best...collect our card ...bye bye
Nothing was checked. ..na so my iru, ogbono, fish, yam flour, cassava flour, Maggi etc pass enter US ooo
Tok the air train to terminal 5 and checked in Jet blue flight to Houston...
It was a very tiring trip but I thank God everything went well...
Yesterday I was having some pains...DH quickly called the hospital and I was told to come see the ER doc.got there in abt 10 mins. ..the nurse checked me and said everything was okay and I should go home...
Chilling Independence day at home and waiting for my appointment tomorrow with Dr Amajoh...
Sorry for the epistle....lol
Congrats dear on successful poe.wishing you safe delivery of your baby.

In my opinion

Is her tommy really big? If not no P.
But if it is be ready to defend urself.
Ur passport shows when ur visa was given which isn't long ago. That's in ur favor.
Then again ur return ticket will show if u r staying for about 2 Weeks which is in ur favor too.
They prolly stamp u guys in for a short time

Usually they ask what u r here for u tell them and dey ask how long u r going to stay u also tell them.

Truth is i feel ur fear. I knw wht rejection is.But guess what..it made me stronger! Lying is never a good option, it only complicates things. Now u are forced to cough out money to travel twice in ds scarcity and still u are worried if it will help her scale through.

Pls do not send a change of intent. It doesnt apply for you bcz u had the intent, these CBP ppl can be really difficult and start calculating the pregnancy. And even if you scale through this time, what happens at renewal when they ask a direct question about overstaying your first trip? Dont let it be used against you.

You both should travel together the first time so your story about vacation can be registered and let her be prepared; wear loose fitting outfits.
