I for one have never thought of him as a rapper, maybe a hype man. I will advise him to just introduce artists and labels at the beginning and end of songs like his friend Dj khaled. *Another one!*

French Montana on New York Minute.

It ain't rap, niggaz better stay strapped
Or you could call the stick-up boys, try to get your chain back
(In a New York minute)
They thought the game was over
When B.I.G. died, then the homie Hov took it over
(In a New York minute)
They shot Pac 5 times
Years later, them boys took Shyne
(In a New York minute)
That ain't even the least
Akon signed the hottest nigga in the streets
We gave swagger to the game
Still and all, everything can change

International Acts struggling to do collabo with Malian and Senegalese Acts while Nigerians pay huge money to do collabo (Remix of their old songs) with International Acts.

Hedonistically:
Probably the first 'list' on Nairaland that I agree with.

On the flip side, I think the best Naija artiste - Yankee artiste collaboration ever is between PSquare featuring Rick Ross - Beautiful Onyiye and PSquare featuring Akon - Chop My Money. But in terms of impact and international exposure, I think Wizkid featuring Drake (Ojuelegba remix) is the most successful - considering how far it has taken Wizkid subsequently.
Mr Endow - Dbanj ft Snoop Dogg is a notable mention

When French goes hard he delivers. When he sounds all gold chains and the rest, it is on commercial flows which is acceptable.

Proud to be African by Wyclef featuring Tuface, Sound Sultan and Faze

King of my country by Soundsultan featuring Wyclef

Iamsynord:
In the quest for international recognition, some nigerian artistes have engaged the services of american and international artistes to feature on their tracks...
While the synergy of some have worked perfectly fine ( e.g psquare ft akon, ti, rickross, tuface ft tpain , bred ft akon etc ), Some have turned into disasters that no one ought to remember...

1) Damiduro rmx ft Akon - I dont know what Davido was thinking when he called akon to feature on this song.. It never lived up to the standard of the original track and was met with negative reactions..

2) show you the money rmx ft tyga - Here is another forgetable remix to a hit song that should never ever have happened... Wizkid really didnt do well with this remix with tyga.. sad

3) Make us proud ft Wale - And here is Olamide with Make us proud ft Wale ;( ;(..

Olamide didnt make anyone proud with this track to be honest:. Wasted feature with wale

4) i swear ft french montana - we
don dey squeeze breasts,,, na we dey carry pass.... And here comes iceprince with the worst of the worst line..... " i spend money on the things i wear . " ;(;(.. Crap

5) Scapegoat remix ft KanyeWest -

And heres Comes Dbanj who deems it fit to feature Rapper , Kanye on his highlife abi na afro pop scapegoat song... ;(;( And kanye in turn made him a scapegoat to warn other good music artist grin...

Notable mentions

wizkid ft wale -drop
dontom ft akon - flaying dollars

The nigerian musicians caused it...they don't really plan the features,,they meet the artiste at a function and tell them about collabo ,the foreign artiste asks about the song,,instead of let me get back to you,na the song wey enta their head..them go rush collabo like Ambode policy making system...

An artiste that has a feature on every track? which shows he doesn't trust himself to make a hit.

When last did A rapper make a banging hit all by himself. The business has changed. Success is measured on how well your tracks sell than Street cred or rep.
