Jamb hasn't told the students that wrote O'level exams for the first time this year and are yet to see their results what to do.
Are they saying every candidate must have spent at least a year at home??
This isn't looking nice.
JAMB says there will be no admission for awaiting result candidates

Hmmmm....I used the same method to enter Chemistry in 2007

The method wasnt tough for competitive courses like Pharma, MBBS, Elect-Elect, Econs...

PostUTme was just fair for all.....very transparent in UI.
Wasn't tough or tough bro...cut off mark for medicine that year was 80points. Pham....75points.the method heavily favoured those with high A grades in chemphybiomaths and english.what was your point then? And did u applied for chemistry?

no one has ever scored up to 300, talkless of above 300, we are human beings not machines, this is not fair at all, two results for 2points, it should be 5points, because half of 10 is 5, jamb rather stick to post utme
Then there is nothing to worry about. The students are competing against themselves and not against computers.

I don't think this is good enough considering the high rate of examination malpractices in O'Level exams. If you happen to mark WAEC/NECO scripts, you'd know most secondary school students, don't own their results they cheated.

That apart, using UNILORIN or UNILAG who get close to, if not more than, 90,000 applicants a year with just a meagre 7,000 available admission slots, if the points grading system was adopted and let's say 45,000 qualified. What would the FG do to the other remaining 38,000 successful applicants.

Post UTME is by far the most credible exam right now.

Besides, why is it so hard to pay for post utme? The same people who will spend lavishly on Aso Ebi, Owanbe, Sallah, Alcohols, clubbing and other frivolities should be able to spend on education without complaints
For the last paragraph, it's not true. Not all persons lavish their money on irrelevant things. That Musa spends alot doesn't mean Danjuma does likewise. If at all post utme should be conducted, the fees charged shouldn't be high especially for public institutions

Curbing/reducing examination malpractice would go a long way to ensuring the right candidates get in at the end of the day. If the current status quo remains then the purpose of the PBS is defeated.

It simply means that candidates with awaiting result, stand no chance of being admitted.

Think it was stated earlier in one of the jamb updates posted here.

Point system is good but the issue or point I raise is that. Students most be open to admission to all 140 universities.

Private universities most have unlimited admission capacity to deal with the issue of excess candidate. This is why I want the modification to jamb to allow all student an opportunity to be considered and given multiple admission of their choice. Price of universities are not the same.

And someone who went through jamb and I understand better security hidden agenda of government in jamb relative to national security

Jamb most be open to make modifications to allow them to try all 140 universities, not just 3 universities.

You want to expand your private universities to a capacity of 10,000 admission a year

I wonder o

Simply the best way to increase malpractices in jamb and waec. More private center and impersonation in jamb. More private secondary school waec exam. Less students writing waec in public schools that can't settle waec official and help with the questions

Re: JAMB Adopts “Point System” Option For 2016 Admission. How To Calculate Points by Salym(m): 6:04am On Jul 06, 2016
If this system is finally implemented, great injustice has been done to students with awaiting results. They have spent their time and money to write JAMB and now they are excluded. It automatically means students will have to waste a year at home before admission and waste another year doing NYSC. It just means a person going for a 4 year course will have to spend 6 years before thinking of getting a job. This is wack. They should have taken their time to perfect the modalities before implimentation.
