@ Danberg, yes there is portable and foldable bed as u said, it's in a different coach though not ours and mind you, that coach is more expensive than ours,
I prefer normal first class coach with just seat coz it affords me the opportunity of meeting new friends, gisting and watching movies from fellow passenger's laptop if you didn't carry urs along.

Hp u understand my little explanation

Na that coach gangan i go like chill in... I mean d one wey get foldable beds... How much is it? And is there a return ticket from Kano to Ibadan? Also which days do they move?

@ tsamson, it's #3750 from ibadan to kano, and it leaves only on Fridays and leaves kano for lagos on mondays.

No bathing facility, just water system toilet and has enough water for flushing.

NB: this is just for first class coach because I didn't use economy class and would know of theirs.

Do they also serve alcohol and cigarettes in d bar?

Sorry for the many questions how about someone like me that has a lot of load to carry.... I'm literary packing from Kano to Ibadan so I'll like to know if they'll be space in the train for luggages like TV, hometheatre, fridge, 1big generator and 1tiger generator, 2dstv dishes.

Re: A Nairalander's Train Experience From Ibadan To Kano by hybeenoni: 10:53am On Jul 06, 2016
@ datigbogirl, yes you can move with as much load as u desire. All u need do is just pay for the load according to the weight and it will be coach that carries cargo and you are good to go.

It moves once a week for now though and leaves kano on mondays.
Re: A Nairalander's Train Experience From Ibadan To Kano by hybeenoni: 10:56am On Jul 06, 2016
@ dynamitehimself, no particular departure time, but was told by the railway staff at Ibadan to be at the station by 3pm

So it leaves by 5pm...and I we don't know the normal duration.... 17hrs...if that's conversion of 5pm....delays I refueling max 2-3hrs right? First class seats are available while other first class have beds... Hmm.... Can I charge my lippy and fones... And when does it leave kano on Monday.... Sadly u don't have enough pics.... But nice one bro.
Re: A Nairalander's Train Experience From Ibadan To Kano by hybeenoni: 11:05am On Jul 06, 2016
@ Cbaba not my fault that I took few pix, their staffs told me it's illegal taking pix so had to take those ones u saw codedly. They even accosted me and made delete some pix i took of AC control area.
They are not really biz minded coz I was surprised why they don't want publicity, you the govt work mentality we have.
More reasons why it should be managed by private investors.

It leaves kano by 9am on Monday, no African time oo

@ ZealousB all first class coaches are fully air-conditioned including those with sleepers, that's a fact. It even got to a point that we has to plead with their staff to put off the AC coz the cold was too too much.
Just go with a cardigan if u intend to book first class coach.

Lol... cold and cardigan things grin

@ jogbemi u feed urself either by patronizing their restaurant or buying foods during stop overs.
Their restaurant try sha, coz u can get nicely prepared noodles, rice and swallow.
@ the bar, u can also get beer to cool urslf with their music, even though I don't drink, I spent some time there enjoying nice music.

Pls bro, enlighten me

Since you spent about a day in this adventure, how were you charging your phones and laptops?

How was network availability, both voice and data?

How easy it is to move around when the train is on motion?

Thanks in advance
